Autobidy places don`t make me happy. I generally feel bewildered, dazzle-dazzled and functionally illiterate. Then I have to write a check, reminding me how idiotic I was to allow my car to be damaged. But last month, after my car kissed a cement pole, i took my considerably squashed car to Hartel -- with great trepidation. BUT, it was unlike any autobody shop I`ve ever gone to. It was a completely different experi... view moreence from soup to nuts. The owners are extraordinarily pleasant, articulate, helpful and downright just great to hang out with and chat. They provided a Hertz rental car right there, for insanely low amount. They fixed my car perfectly, and returned it way cleaner than it had arrived. They were beyond helpful -- consummate small business. While I`m hopin generally I don`t have to return, if in the future my car makes an ill-advised turn into a pole, My anger will be allayed by knowing that the fix experience will be smooth professional, and actually a delight.

These guys are the greatest. I have a 2010 Honda Accord that was destroyed in the front with some frame damage and a blown air bag. It was so bad I wanted it to be totaled but my insurance company refused. They said the car was worth too much to total. I guess it was cheaper for them to fix it than to total the car. They put it back togther to the point where I can`t even tell it was destroyed and faster than I expected. My insurance company wanted me to go somewhere else but a good friend highly recommended Hartel`s. I just called them and they made arrangements to have it picked up and towed to their shop. They even matched my insurance companies warranty! It drives perfect and straight. I can let go of the wheel for a few seconds and it tracks perfect on a straght way. The color match is exact! I was worried because it is a gun metal grey color. Looking under the hood everything looks like is just came from the factory. I feel confidence in my car again and have no fears for my familes safety when they are in it. I even had my Honda dealership look it over during my last oil change and they couldn`t beleive this was the same car when I showed them the pictures of the car smashed up on my phone. They couldn`t even tell what was done to the car. The service guy told me how lucky I was to get such a high quality repair because he has seen some real nightmares.

If you need Auto Body work in or around Westchester County NY this is the only place to go!!! Very Highly Recommended!!!! 5 stars are not enough!!! Don`t go somewhere else just because your insurance company tells you too.

I was sent to Hartel`s on a recommendation from a friend. I happened to be working in the area on assignment and needed to get my car fixed after being in an accident. The staff was super friendly, offering me honest answers about prices and time needed to fix my car. When I got my car back, it looked like it did before the accident - you`d never know someone rear-ended me!
