I bought a 2003 silver Saturn Vue less than a year ago. The day that I bought it I also bought brand new tires.
There are a few minor issues: One, the passenger headlight needs to be replaced, blinker is still intact. Secondly, There is a crack in the windshield. It's barely visible when driving since it's at the top of the windshield. I always forget it's there. Third, The horn needs to be replaced. I bought one (that I will obviously include) but I never replaced it because the transmission started giving me issues. The transmission is still functional, but not highly. A person could possibly drive locally, short distances but will likely have issues (will have to restart to continue due to loss of power in transmission, will not reach highway speed). The odometer reading isn't quite as high as listed but since I still use this car locally, I accommodated for that. Everything else, to my knowledge and experiences, is in complete working order. I do not have the money or expertise to fix or repair the transmission, so, I have to sell this car, much to my dismay because I really do love it. The pictures are pretty dingy looking just due to living under a lot of trees. The exterior, as well as the interior are in pretty good condition, minor scratches and wear that are expected due to use and life. :) I prefer this to be a CASH sale. Pick up is in East Muskegon, Michigan. I would recommend a tow truck or something similar for pick up since the transmission does need work/replacement. NHTSA opens safety investigations into Toyota, GM and Honda crossovers
Fri, 08 Jun 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is evidently keeping itself very busy these days, as the federal agency has just announced it is launching or renewing investigations into Toyota, Honda and General Motors crossovers.
2006-2008 model year Toyota RAV4 crossovers are under review for allegations of rear tie-rod rust which can result in failure. NHTSA also said it is probing some 35 complaints about 2005 Honda Pilot models with inappropriate activation of the vehicles' stability control system. The alleged malfunction can cause the vehicles to slow down or stop in bad unsafe situations. At the moment, NHTSA is reviewing a petition regarding the Pilot issue, a move that will determine whether it needs to open a full-blown investigation.
In addition, Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia three-row crossovers built in 2007-2009 are getting looked at for "loss of low beam headlamp" function. One complainant said the wiring in his Outlook overheated and melted. NHTSA says it has received 415 complaints about the problem and a GM spokesman confirmed that the automaker already started a "Customer Satisfaction Program" in December to address the issue.

Recalled Saturn Ion facing separate federal safety probe
Fri, 21 Mar 2014General Motors may be staring down another recall campaign for one of its models already embroiled in its high-profile ignition recall. The 2003-2007 Saturn Ion is already among the 1.6-million vehicles being recalled for faulty ignition switches, and now new light is being shed on a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation over 2004-2007 models centering on a loss of power steering.
The government safety regulator has received 846 complaints about the problem and claims that GM has had 3,489 reports of failure. Of those cases, there have been 16 accidents and 2 injuries reported, according to Automotive News. While NHTSA has been conducting an investigation since September 2011, no recall has been issued yet.
The inquiry's length was brought to light by an organization called the National Legal and Policy Center that alleges GM and NHTSA have known about the problem but are delaying a recall. It has sent a letter to CEO Mary Barra asking "to recall Saturn Ions for the model years 2004 through 2007 without further delay." The letter in question is available in full on the group's website.
