The Swedish-made Saab 9-3. Turbocharged. Convertible. What more can you ask for.

I love everything from the beautiful green paint job, the all-leather seating, the very comfortable ride, its comfy, cozy, and clean interior--all just a few of the many things you'll enjoy about this car. It comes with a 2.0L 4-cyl. turbocharged engine, sport mode--which turns it a into a quick little convertible--also winter mode, a 5-spd. automatic transmission, anti-theft alarm system, headlight-wipers, AM/FM/CD audio system, power everything, adjustable seat firmness, adjustable interior lighting, hydraulic-powered automatic convertible roof, and remote lock/unlock/trunk control on key.

Only moderate wear on the car. It does have a few dings on the side, but they're not noticeable by any means, as you can see in the images. It has 152,746 miles on it, but it runs nice and smooth. I get a few headturns whenever I drive the car, and if you've never owned a convertible before, you'll love the sense of freedom you get with nothing but the sky over your head cruising down a sun-lit road. If you have owned one before, then you know exactly what I mean.

I love driving this car, but I'm looking to raise a little money, so I'm offering it to you for less than $3,000. Give me $2,899 and it's yours. This is a VERY good deal for this model CONVERTIBLE.

Call me / text me at (202) 438-6929, or alternatively use the CL reply. I'll respond to your inquiries in less than a day for sure. Feel free to make arrangements to see the car. I'll be more than happy to help you!

Note: We do not ship--please pick the car up if you buy it.

Greetings from Trollhattan. I'm Emily, but I'm not a Saab.

Sat, Apr 29 2023

What’s Swedish for “never give up”? Saab, apparently. The fondly-remembered car company formerly called just that — and now named NEVS — is only a shell, employing just a limited crew in the land of trolls. But itÂ’s got something to sell, and that something seems like it's really something. ItÂ’s called Emily. The Emily GT exists as six prototype electric cars, according to NEVS, with a combined horsepower rating (per car) of 484 powered by an enormous 175-kilowatt lithium-ion battery thatÂ’s good for 600 miles of range. In development almost since Saab's demise — the company, once owned by General Motors, was closed down in 2010 — the Emily is a very real product and needs a real sponsor, according to NEVS CEO Nina Selander, speaking to Carup. “It is for sale, it is also a joy to be able to show it. It should be allowed to live on, itÂ’s too nice, too good and too modern a car for nothing to come of it. Interested parties are welcome,” she said. Photos of the car show a modern, forward-thrust profile with handsome lines, a look similar to the last Saab 9-5 and VolvoÂ’s S60 (must be a Swedish thing) and a fashionable, sci-fi-ish interior. A hopeful engineer on the project estimates that the car is less than two years away from some kind of series production, but according to the modest NEVS website, the company is currently in “hibernation” even as it continues to solicit buyers for the Emilys. Said Peter Dahl, the Emily project manager, “Many have asked us what we have been doing for 10 years. We have developed 13 different car projects, this is one of them.” Related video: Volvo Saab Automotive History Electric Future Vehicles Classics

GM wins appeal, dismissal of $3B Saab-related Spyker suit

Sun, Oct 26 2014

It's been a long time since we last heard of the legal battles between Spyker CEO Victor Muller and General Motors, the automaker from which Muller's company purchased the embattled Saab brand back in 2010. To refresh your memories, after struggling through 2011 and entering into bankruptcy, Spyker attempted to save the Saab brand by selling it to a Chinese consortium. General Motors, though, blocked the sale because it did not want any of its intellectual property, of which Saab was in possession of from its days under the GM umbrella, in the hands of a potential rival automaker. Spyker then sued GM for intentionally blocking what it said was Saab's only chance of survival. The $3-billion suit was dismissed after a judge ruled in favor of GM, which apparently had granted a license to Saab to continue building cars using its technologies, but reserved the right to cancel that agreement if Saab again changed hands. Spyker appealed, and, according to Reuters, the appeals court upheld the previous ruling, again siding with GM. National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the company that eventually purchased Saab out of bankruptcy, managed to restart production for a short period before itself falling into financial trouble. We have at least another month to wait before hearing how Saab's next chapter may read.

Rare 9-5 SportCombi, 9-4X models being sold off in Saab asset auction

Mon, 03 Dec 2012

Saab lovers take notice. Swedish auction house KVD has some ultra rare Saab products on the block, and we're not talking about a 1950s Saab 92. Up for auction are a bunch of low-mileage Saab models being sold off as part of the bankrupted automaker's assets. Included in the lot of cars are models like the 2012 9-5 SportCombi (above), the 2012 9-4X (shown below) and even a 9-5 sedan driven by Victor Muller himself.
Discovered by PistonHeads, this Saab auction has numerous 9-5 SportCombi and 9-4X models, which should prove to be very rare cars. Only a small number of 9-4Xs were ever sold, and Saab closed up shop before the 9-5 SportCombi could even go on sale here. In addition to the rarity, many of the cars have fewer than 10 miles on their odometers and seemingly low reserve prices; a 9-4X 3.0 XWD Premium with just six miles has a current bid of 180,000 Swedish Krona (just over $27,000 USD) that has already met the reserve price. Some of the cars still have the protective factory shipping tape covering up the interior and exterior.
Other than the rare SportCombis and 9-4Xs being auctioned off, there's also a sharp 2012 9-3 Cabriolet with 11 miles on the clock and a V8-powered 2006 Saab 9-7X with just 3,003 miles.
