Up for No Reserve auction is a 2002 Porsche Boxster Cabriolet Convertible with 5 speed manual transmission.

It has been my daily driver for the past 9 months and I am going continue to drive it until it sells. The car runs and drives nice. The top is in nice condition with no rips or tears, interior is in good condition with normal wear, the wheels  and tires are in good condition have some life left on them. The heat works well, a/c blows cold, am/fm radio / tape / cd all work well and have installed a mount for the satellite radio. The mount stays but the control unit I am going to keep.

When I bought the car it had miles on it and the hood has some rock chips in the paint, so I bought another hood to put on it, but have not installed it. It is available if wanted or needed. The front side of the mirrors show some wear from wind and bugs, but still look good. From 2 feet away you cant even tell there are any flaws. There a few other nicks and scratches in the paint here and there and a few rock chips in the windshield, but the car is in decent shape.

I just had the car at the dealership and they did an inspection on it. The brakes are good, the service was done just prior to my purchase from a Porsche Dealer when I bought it 9 months ago and everything checked out ok.

Wen I got the car it had a few issues and had to have the repairs made so it would pass CA smog. I found out that the Check Engine light had been blown, and it had a bad air flow control switch. The Instrument cluster was sent out for repair and the other small issues fixed. The car then was then smoged and has current CA registration. Car is Being sold as is and with no warranty.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!

Evo rediscovers true love in the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Wed, Jun 3 2015

Evo is on record as loving the Porsche 911 GT3. In fact the only time the GT3 hasn't won its Car of the Year award was when there wasn't a new one to contend for top honors, and in 2009 (when the 997.2 GT3 lost out to the Lotus Evora). By all accounts, then, Evo ought to love the new GT3 RS. Fortunately that's just what the British enthusiast's publication has gotten its hands on for this latest video. After Porsche went a bit softer with the current 911 GT3, the RS has been toughened up to greet the most hardcore of Zuffenhausen's faithful. It was revealed just a few months ago at the Geneva Motor Show, with a 4.0-liter atmospheric boxer-six driving 500 horsepower and 338 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels – exclusively through a dual-clutch transmission. That last bit might be enough to make the snobbiest of purists scoff, but it wasn't enough to keep Chris Harris from loving it. Find out what his former compatriots at Evo have to say from this first drive.

Porsche drivers escape this horrific VIR crash unscathed

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

There is no doubting the fact that it takes nerves of steel to be a racecar driver, but the same can also be said for motorsports photographers. Case in point: The American Le Mans Series Oak Tree Grand Prix at the Virginia International Raceway where two Porsche 911 racecars crash hard into the tire barrier, but the dedicated cameraman stays with the shot - diving away only at the last second just as the battered No. 31 car (shown above) comes to rest atop the tire barriers just feet from where he was standing.
The crash occurred when the two Porsches charged hard into a corner. Judging by the video, the white No. 48 car appears to not see the orange No. 31 and the two cars make contact, skidding off track hitting the tire barriers at a high rate of speed. Both drivers walked away from the frightening crash, but the video - posted below - shows just how bad things could have been. Hopefully the close call will serve as a lesson for the woman standing in the track marshal's post who has her back to the racing as the two cars barrel directly toward her.

Driving the million-mile Porsche 356

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

Maybe you've seen or heard about the Porsche 356 with almost one-million miles (though it doesn't look like it), but Petrolicious finally has produced a video to show us what it's like to drive the 982,000-mile car. Guy Newmark's beautiful, dark-blue 1964 356C looks great in motion - much better than in photos - and serves to remind us not only what meticulous car care can do for old classics, but that old Porsches were built to last.
So how fastidious is Newmark about maintaining it? He takes the car to his mechanic of 40 years every 3,000 miles for an oil change and to fix anything that needs attention.
Newmark says his 356 "is everything you could want," and that he finds errands to do just to go drive it. We would, too. The next-best thing is to watch the inspiring video below of the well-traveled Porsche.
