2001 Porsche Boxster S

This Porsche Boxster S is likely the cleanest you will find.  Showroom condition.  No kidding, complete strangers comment on how amazing the car looks.  And for those of you who know Porsche vehicles, the roar of the engine is unmistakable.  Please note, this is a Boxster "S".  The power, handling, and features of this car blow away the non-"S". I  have pampered it. Adult owned.  It has not seen rain or snow. Not a ding or scratch in sight.  Interior flawless.  Non smoker. Just had yearly maintenance ($1400 with brake flush). Maintained at Porsche dealer so all records available. Change synthetic oil every 3k miles. Purchased it from Porsche Mainline and it was owned by the General Manager. I have fueled with Premium fuel only.  Really, this one is a must-see.  Selling to make room for next teen driver in the house who isn't allowed to even look at the Porsche! Driven about 3000 miles a year.

2017 Porsche 718 Boxster: Old name, modern performance

Tue, Mar 1 2016

Porsche set the bar pretty high when it attached the number 718 to the new Boxster. The original Porsche 718 Spyder from the late '50s and early '60s remains one of the most iconic in the company's history. Nameplates aside, the biggest change to the new 718 Boxster can be found under the rear deck. That's where Zuffenhausen has embraced the latest trend in downsizing and turbocharging. In place of the previous naturally-aspirated flat-sixes, the new 718 packs a 2.0-liter turbo boxer four good for 300 horsepower, or a 2.5-liter version with 350 hp. They're smaller than the engines they replace, but also more powerful – and offer a significant improvement in torque as well. The result is a 0-60 time as low as 4.0 seconds – in what's long been considered the "junior" Porsche sports car. Of course Porsche didn't just swap the engines out and call it a day. The styling has been updated inside and out, and there's new equipment as well. The finished product will go on sale in April – but that's in Europe where it's been unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show. It'll hit US dealers in June, and we can look forward to a 718 Cayman version with a fixed roof to follow soon as well. This content is hosted by a third party. Mark Webber treats Maria Sharapova to a Porsche 918 Spyder joyride

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

We don't much like Mark Webber right now. Part of being a racing driver is dealing with promotional stuff. It's not hard to find a driver that can't stand all this nonsense, whether it be promoting a product, meeting investors or attending some obscure event. Even a driver of Webber's caliber - a former Formula One driver for Red Bull Racing and a member of Porsche's factory Le Mans team - has to serve his time at the promo events.
Somehow, though, we don't think the Aussie driver minds this particular promo detail. In the video below, Webber attends the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. He then takes tennis superstar Maria Sharapova out for a spin behind the wheel of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The level of jealousy at the Autoblog office is palpable.
Take a look below for the video. And as we're super jealous of Mr. Webber, hop into Comments and caption the above photo based on what you think he's saying to Maria. Bonus points if you can work "vegemite" into the caption.

Porsche is continuing celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of its iconic 911. In its latest video, it's gone to Taiwan, to interview some of the folks that have grown passionate about the rear-engined sportscar over the years.
By and large, the views expressed in this video could have come from anywhere in the world. The 911 is a great car and that doesn't change from country to country. These enthusiasts have the same passion that fans in England, the United States or Germany have for the Carrera. Take a look below at the full video, to see what the 911 enthusiasts of Taiwan love about their 911s.
