I have here my 2001 Porsche Boxster base manual for sale. It currently has about 56,700 miles. Clean carfax and no accidents or dents. I have the carfax for anyone interested.
This is my third car, so it's very well cared for and driven only for pleasure. I am selling it to purchase a PDK Boxster so that my wife can drive it as well, or else I would never get rid of it!
Here are the details:
The exterior as you can see is Lapiz blue, with grey interior. It's in excellent condition both inside and out, very well cared for. I personally wash it and wax it, and use protectant on the top, and leatherique on the interior. No rips or damage to the leather. Everything works in the interior perfectly - radio, all buttons, cupholders, etc. Top works great.
Car has PSM too, and CD in the radio.
The paint is beautiful and the interior very clean - the passenger side looks like no one ever sat there!
Car runs great, and just had service recently, most of the 60k mile service - the only thing not done yet are the spark plugs which I was planning to do closer to 60k.
Oil Change about 3k miles ago, new serpentine belt, 4 brand new Kuhmo tires last month, brand new rotors and pads for the front last month, and new pollen and engine filters last month. All within the last 1-2k miles, so brand new.
Here are the only downsides:
The rear plastic window, like on these Boxsters, has 2 cracks in it. They are sealed with E6000 sealant, but the window may have to be replaced in the future. The only other minor thing is a crack in the lower right windshield. It has not gotten bigger at all, and happened when the windshield wiper arm bounced back while changing the wiper. (Oops!)
Aside from that, car is beautiful and drives great. Car is in NJ. Has original car cover as well, spare tire and all tools, books, etc.

Porsche recalling 24,500 Panameras for a potential HVAC coolant pump issue
Tue, Feb 14 2023A possible coolant pump problem for the HVAC system is causing Porsche to recall 24,467 units of the Panamera from the 2017 to 2020 model years. Bentley's recalling 650 examples of the sibling 2020 Continental GT for the same issue. Porsche was notified of a malfunction in the external heat pump for the Panamera's climate control in December 2022. An automaker investigation found that it's possible for excess humidity or even liquid to get past the pump seals and short out the pump's circuit board and connector. In rare instances, the malfunction could cause a fire. This can happen even when the engine is turned off because the cars in question are equipped with a residual heat function that keeps warming the cabin after shutdown. Panameras built after July 26, 2021 were fitted with a different pump. The Stuttgart carmaker's field analysis showed "a very small number of instances of thermal damage possibly attributable to this issue." Bentley changed the part in July 2019 to a model with a pressure compensation seal. Porsche said it will begin notifying owners on March 27. It also said it will reimburse any Panamera owners who have paid to have the part fixed previous to this recall. The fix is a trip to the dealer for a new pump with better sealing, sourced from a new supplier. Bentley will begin notifying owners on the same day. In Bentley's case, though, the automaker says "A hardware change will be required but the final solution is currently under investigation and cannot be confirmed at this time." Since the automaker moved to a new pump that isn't part of the recall population, we aren't sure why a resolution remains under investigation. Porsche owners can contact Porsche customer service at 800-767-7243 and refer to internal recall number APA1. Bentley owners can call 800-777-6923 and refer to RE23/02 (RC67). Anyone in that group can go straight to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or nhtsa.gov, citing campaign number 23V033 for the Panamera or 23V034 for the Bentley. Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads
Thu, 22 Aug 2013The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.
Jay Leno takes an in-depth look at a 1964 Porsche 356C restomod
Tue, Oct 13 2015Look nearly anywhere at Dr. Anand Rajani's 1964 Porsche 356C, even the engine, and you would never realize that it boasts around 50 percent more power than stock. There's no sign of any other mods to make the drive a bit more modern, either, but they're there. The car's invisible upgrades result in an amazing transformation of a car that started out pretty great to begin with, and Jay Leno can't seem to get enough of driving this beautiful, gray coupe with restorer John Willhoit. Before going for a drive, Leno takes a deep dive into the details of this Porsche's modifications, particularly of its engine. The result of all the work is a mill that looks visually stock but actually boasts a significant jump in displacement. Willhoit admits this is particular one is a fairly conservative build but output still reaches 145 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. If you're worried that Jay's CNBC show might have a detrimental effect on the quality of the Jay Leno's Garage YouTube video series, then here's your answer. For vintage Porsche fans interested in the nuts and bolts of making them even better, it's hard to imagine Leno making a better clip than this one.
