East Brunswick, New Jersey, United States
Selling a Porsche 968 Cab. Have most recent service records. Newer Koni SA Struts/Shocks, M030 swaybars, 968CS Hella Fogs with bumper deletes. Very presentable. Clean Carfax and Experian Autocheck. Clean NJ Title. They only made 727 Cabriolets for US market in 1992.
The good...Timing belt, water pump, lower control arm bushings, oil pan gasket, AC Condenser and more replaced in last 10k miles. Engine runs fine, Trans shifts fine. Clutch is strong. NO Check engine Light! Good NJ inspection until 2015. Brakes, Belts, tires good. HIDs in headlights. TOP DOES NOT LEAK. TRUNK DOES NOT LEAK. Eclipse CD player with aftermarket amp and speakers inside (factory sound system was terrible anyways). Clean Carfax. I can email you a copy. The bad...Driver seat power is dead (there are manual adjustments underneath), couple of dings and dents (its 24 model years old!), rear top window is cracked but doesn't leak. Power top does not work, but works fine as a manual top. Washer fluid light stays on, even with fluid. Airbag lights on, system checked out fine but light needs to be cleared at Porsche or euro shop with BOSCH tool. ABS light comes on after you roll (speed sensor fault). Comes with Cab boot, original manuals, paperwork, few extra parts. Email me for pictures, or to come take a look before you bid. Car is being sold AS-IS Where is. IM NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES FOR MOTORCYCLES OR CARS. I am however in the market for a paver patio installed...message me. |

A fix and buyback program for Audi V6 diesels may be on the way
Tue, Nov 15 2016While Volkswagen reached a settlement to buy back 2.0-liter diesel inline-fours with emissions defeat devices, the roughly 80,000 cars with 3.0-liter diesel V6s built by Audi have yet to be addressed. But a new report from Bloomberg indicates that a solution is near. The publication says that sources familiar with the situation say the company has a fix ready for the majority of the cars, and that the EPA and California Air Resources Board are ready to approve it. According to Bloomberg, this fix would involve a software update and would work for about 60,000 of the Audi A8, Q5, Q7, Porsche Cayenne, and VW Touareg models with the engine. The rest of the vehicles won't be fixable without major modification, so those would have to be purchased back from the owners. Bloomberg does point out that approval from the EPA and CARB are only one piece of the puzzle. The publication said that this deal has yet to be approved by owners of the cars and the Federal Trade Commission, both of which may demand that VW offer a buyback to all owners, even those whose cars can be fixed. The good news for owners of VW products with this engine, is that they should have some closure pretty soon. And owners that still like their diesel V6 can take solace that they might actually be able to get them fixed, as opposed to owners of the 2.0-liter diesels. VW offered buybacks to owners of all 475,000 cars with the turbo four-cylinders, or a fix when it's available. However, there have been no signs of an approved fix. Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Early guesses put the engine output somewhere around 560 horsepower.
Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should propel this rear-engined heathen to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Top speed? Try somewhere around 200 mph. If that's true, the next-generation 911 GT2 will be the fastest 911 in Porsche history.
Xcar considers the Porsche 911 GT3's PDK
Fri, May 29 2015Porsche ruffled some feathers when it unveiled the latest 911 GT3 a couple of years ago with a dual-clutch transmission instead of an old-school manual. The rationale was (and remains) that the PDK makes the enthusiast's Elfen faster than it would be with a stick. The purists scoffed, but Zuffenhausen held firm – and even did the same with the even more hardcore GT3 RS. In its latest video, the boys at Xcar set out to find out if the GT3 with its fancy automated gearbox is as good as the previous model (or as good as the current model could be) with a manual – and took in some of the track toy's other trickery while they were at it. Check out the video above to find out what conclusion they reached.
