Germany Note: There are 140+ photos in this listing for as much detail as possible CLICK & HOLD ON A PHOTO AND A MAGNIFIER SHOULD POP UP TO ENLARGE 1 video of Porsche 912 Photos and Video were taken January 22, 2014 "AS STORED" photos were taken early Jan. 2014 Porsh. . . uhhhh is sold in "as found" condition (see listing information and video) SOLD WITH NOTARIZED BILL OF SALE NOTE FROM YORCHIE: Received this Porsche 912 from "Farmer Mike" who I have helped sell some of his vintage cars on Ebay. Starting the auction at $500 because that is what I have into it. I try to always make my auction listing as informational as possible and have included many photos and a walk-around video. Looks like the Porsche came from a junkyard. The 912 has yellow pen writing on the driver side quarter panel. Originally painted Polo Red and now sports an ugly brown paint job. Unfortunately, a snow storm was rolling into Montana when video and photos were shot. There are "white comets" on some of the photos which are snow and obviously snow stuck on the car and associated parts. I included early pictures of the 912 at Mike's farm which are marked "AS STORED". Both the 'wet' and 'dry' photos are included in the photos in this listing. The 912 was stored on the south side of a large Quonset hut and all the tires were rotted and car stuck firmly in ground about 3 inches which my "Old Car CSI" skills put it about 10 years without moving. I installed old tires off my VW Bug on the porsche steel wheels and they all hold air. I installed a temporary steering wheel and the 912 steering is operational and intact. Headliner is intact but I am sure it is beyond repair. I ripped out the rotting interior to show that the shell appears to be solid and the floorboards are not rusted out. I tried to indicate where the big rust issues are but this is a 47 year old car and potential buyer needs to educate themselves on the Money Pit that a Porsche 911/912 restoration will become. 2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series is a seriously quick way to spend $260k
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Porsche is usually associated with being a sports car brand, but with vehicles like the Cayenne and Panamera it takes a step into the world of luxury against firmly established players like Mercedes-Benz. One way for the company to poke its head above the high-class fray is by taking things further, and in the case of the Panamera Exclusive Series at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it means pushing grandeur to extreme levels.
Coming in at an absolutely eye-watering $263,900, plus $995 destination, the Panamera Exclusive starts its life as the already sumptuous Panamera Turbo S Executive with a 4.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 making 570 horsepower on an extended wheelbase. To help justify the extra $63,000 for the Exclusive, though, the model gets 20-inch black Sport Classic wheels and an interior in swaddled in Nappa leather with dark walnut and piano black trim. Rear passengers also get 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats. A set of fitted Poltrana Frau leather luggage is included with each one, as well.
The luxurious sedan earns it Exclusive moniker because just 100 of them are being made worldwide. Scroll down to read about Porsche's ultimate limousine.
These were our favorite cars of 2022
Tue, Dec 20 2022Favorite cars is different than best cars. The idea of "best" can speak to value and overall competitiveness in a given vehicle segment. There's lots of objectivity involved and to do a "best" list right, one really must be very thorough and as scientific as possible. This is not that list. This is about our favorites, so objectivity be damned. If we liked a Challenger Hellcat because it made loud noises or a Honda Odyssey because it made for a particularly special family vacation, fair game. These were the cars that most spoke to our collection of editors and the ones that stayed in our minds and hung in our hearts long after they left our driveway. Senior Editor James Riswick 2022 GMC Hummer EV Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: I didn't particularly expect to like the new Hummer. I wasn't a fan of the Hummer H2 or H3, so I wasn't automatically enthusiastic about this electric reboot. Fast EVs aren't hard to come by Β and, in fact, may be too easy to come by Β so its performance specs weren't enough to win me over. Despite videos to the contrary, pickups aren't my favorite vehicular format. And its excessive size and weight turned me off ... until I finally got behind the wheel.Β This thing is wildly entertaining to drive. Watts to Freedom launch control is a neat party trick, sure, but the novelty wears off quickly. The novelty of Crab Walk, however, has staying power. The rear-wheel steering makes this behemoth feel much smaller than it is Β the maneuverability is incredible, and useful. The air suspension provides tons of clearance, including a ridiculously high-riding Extract mode. I can't wait for lesser versions of the Hummer to make their way to market. Give me less power (for less money), but keep the off-road tricks onboard, and I'll be a happy camper. Senior Editor, Consumer, Jeremy Korzeniewski: If I could afford to put one of these in my driveway, I would. Sadly, I can't, so I won't (What's that, Janet? I got the lyric wrong?). Still, I love the dumb thing. Thankfully, I have another choice down below. 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Associate Editor Byron Hurd: Yeah, duh, Porsches are good. But there's good, and then there's GT3. This is the feeling every performance-oriented RWD tuner is trying to replicate. This is hard, precise, surgical and immensely satisfying. To begin to explore this car on a public road is by itself an admission that you believe yourself to be above the rules as they apply to normal drivers.
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S named Motor Trend Best Driver's Car [w/video]
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.
