Extremely Well Preserved Classic Porsche 911 S on 2040-cars
El Paso, Texas, United States
|
I am selling one of the most sought after classic Porsches. This is a 1975 911 S. The car is completely rust free and it appears it has never been in an accident. It has spent most of its life in New Mexico and it is now located in El Paso, TX. As you can see from the photos, the car is extremely well preserved and complete. The floor pans, longitudinals, rockers, etc; rust free! The engine number is 6451495. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING CAR. However, it will be sold with Bill of Sale only as I do not have a title to it. I repeat, I do not have a title. Unfortunately, Ebay did not offer a no title category and I had to list it under "rebuilt". The mechanical condition of the car as I have not personally attempted to start the car. I do not have keys to the car and the ignition switch will need to be replaced. I would recommend potential buyers come to see the car in person or send an agent on your behalf as there are no hidden agendas here. I would also recommend that if you intend to buy the car you check with your local DMV and inquire regarding the needed paperwork for titling of the car. There are some states that will allow you to register the car with just a Bill of Sale, others will require that you apply for a bonded title. I have contact with an agency that will do all of this paperwork for you and obtain a Texas title; the process will take approximately 6-8 weeks. If you are interested, I can explain in further detail via e-mail. For overseas buyers, there are some countries that will allow you to import the car without a title; as a parts only car. Check with your local authorities before you bid. I will sell this car worldwide and will store the car for a reasonable period of time until buyer makes shipping arrangements. The car is for sale locally and I also reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. The car is sold "AS-IS" with no title, and no warranties offered or implied. Please feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to reply as quickly as possible. I will consider a partial trade for an MGA, TR3, VW Bus(59-67) or a 1955-57 Chevy pick up truck as well; depending on the condition of your car. Other trades will be considered in a case by case basis. On Mar-10-14 at 14:50:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I just noticed that on the second paragraph of the listing there is an incomplete sentence and it should read as follows: THE MECHANICAL CONDITION OF THE CAR IS UNKNOWN AS I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY ATTEMPTED TO START THE CAR. |

KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners
Sat, 30 Mar 2013The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
Porsche says goodbye to Audi's Le Mans team in this classy video
Fri, Dec 16 2016Well, this is cute. You may remember that in 2014 Audi made a video to welcome Porsche, its corporate sibling, back to Le Mans racing. It involved an Audi race car, a farmer on an old Porsche tractor, and the street in front of Porsche HQ. With Audi leaving Le Mans after a successful 18-year run, Porsche is returning the favor with this sort of sappy video. There's not much more to it. The video starts with clips from the original, where the Porsche-diesel-tractor-driving farmer is passed by an Audi R18 that traveled from Ingolstadt to Stuttgart to make some very precise German street graffiti (in English). Then, in the present day, the farmer hears the news of Audi leaving LMP1 and he gets an idea while Joe Cocker's "Up Where We Belong" starts to play. (Yes, seriously.) We won't spoil the ending for you. It still stinks that Audi had to leave Le Mans racing in the wake of the diesel scandal to focus on Formula E racing instead. But it's good to see there are no hard feelings between the two VW Group brands, at least as far as the marketing departments are concerned. We expect the Porsche-Audi sibling rivalry and corporate squabbles to continue behind closed doors, however. Related Video: Audi Porsche Racing Vehicles Videos porsche 919 hybrid
Watch 1,208 Porsche 911s collect at Silverstone for world record
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Porsche has been spending the majority of 2013 celebrating the 50th birthday of the 911, with its latest stunt taking the German brand to the home of British motorsports, Silverstone. To celebrate, Porsche invited enthusiasts to take their personal 911s on a lap of the former airfield, and boy, did the Porschephiles show up. 1,208 911s took part in the lap around the Grand Prix circuit, making it the largest-ever gathering of the iconic, rear-engined cars.
This wasn't just a celebration of 50 years for the 911, though. Funds raised were channeled towards Hope For Tomorrow, a cancer charity that works with the United Kingdom's National Health Service in operating mobile chemothereapy units that make life just a little bit easier on cancer patients.
Take a look at the long video below, and enjoy the passing of what are likely examples of every 911 model ever built.
