For Sale 1995 Porsche 993 GT2 EVO, RAUH-WELT Clone!!!! Rolling Chassis with included Porsche 997 GT3 997.1 3.6L engine. This is still in the Project stage! This Porsche 993 was inspired by the RWB Porsche 993's. This has been a labor of love of mine for the past 4 yrs & I don't have to sell it! Freshly Painted Black. Exterior still needs to be color sanded, inside of car is still painted original Yellow & needs carpeting, hood liner & minor dash clean up. Does Not come with Wheels or tire's!!! I bought 2 project Porsche's & had them transformed into my version of a RWB Porsche 993. The first Porsche I purchased was a 1967 Coupe NON sunroof rolling chassis. The 2nd Porsche I purchased started out as an reconstructed / rebuilt titled Yellow Porsche 993 Cabriolet tiptronic car, which already had narrow bodied GT2 flares on it. I wanted a much wider car as well as a Coupe so I had the top professionally cut off & installed on the '95 cabriolet. My goal was to have the project made to look like an RWB Porsche without the riveted fender look. The fenders & rear quarter panels are fiberglass & reinforced with metal wiring bracing to ensure no cracking, which give it extra durability, very sturdy construction & light weight. Car comes with a used set of front & rear JRZ double adjustable coil overs which retail for around $6,000 when are brand new. These coil over's have yet to be installed. Currently the car sit's on H&R lowering springs & stock shocks. Also included but not installed at this time is an AutoPower 6pt bolt in Rollcage as well. Car also comes with a GT2 style wing as well a Banana Top mounted wing as well. This car is set up for a water-cooled engine swap so a brand new High Performance radiator with dual SPAL fan's has been custom mounted upfront. I've spent $$$$ on this project & although there are still things to do I will not just give this project away. If price isn't met I plan on keeping the project & finishing the build. Car does come with front headlights, rear lights but the center tail light needs to be replaced. Does come with front strut brace as well as 911 RS America inside door panels & many extra's. Again…Car is Rolling Chassis. DOES NOT Come with a transmission or any interior or seats or wheels & tires. The original gauges & steering wheel are still inside the car intact. I also reserve the right to end this auction early as I also have this project listed locally. Thank you & Happy bidding |

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
Well hello, Carice, you Porsche-aping EV cutie
Wed, Jul 9 2014Ah, the joy that comes open-air motoring with the in your hair and the roar of the exhaust behind you. Well, maybe not as much anymore. In recent years, vehicles like the Tesla Roadster have made the concept of the electric sports car palatable. Now, Dutch automaker Carice is following suit with a classically inspired EV speedster called the MK1. The MK1 clearly wears its design inspiration on its sleeve. It would be difficult to look at this styling and not immediately see a Porsche 356 Speedster; It has the same upside-down bathtub shape with big round headlights and likely the tiniest taillights on a production car in years. The Carice is also clearly meant for fair weather motoring because there's no top, just a tonneau cover to protect the interior from the rain while it's sitting. One thing that the Dutch company is definitely getting right is the weight. It claims that the MK1 weighs a dainty 772 pounds, including the battery pack. The low weight doesn't mean the MK1 is going to be lighting quick, though. It's being offered with a choice of three electric motors with 5 horsepower (for 16-year-old drivers in the Netherlands), 20 hp or 53 hp, and there are two sizes of battery pack. Buyers can also opt for a range-extending internal combustion engine. The 53-hp motor allows for a top speed of 62 miles per hour and a 124-mile range with the larger battery. Carice says its also willing to fit larger batteries or more power motors, at the buyer's expense, of course. Carice plans to build an initial production run of 10 cars with prices starting at 22,000 euros, before Dutch taxes (about $30,000). The company hasn't released a press release about the MK1, but you can learn more about speedster on its website; it's in Dutch, though. Porsche Cayman GT4 storms Switzerland with 385 hp [w/video]
Tue, Mar 3 2015Much as we love the Porsche 911 in all its variants, there's definitely a case to be made for the smaller Cayman as the best-driving sports car in the company's lineup. We adore it in all forms, and most recently fell madly in love with the new Cayman GTS. But here at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche has unveiled a truly special, range-topping variant of its mid-engine coupe: the GT4. And after seeing it in person, we're pretty much head-over-heels in love. That's because the GT4 is the most hardcore variant of the Cayman yet, using a 385-horsepower version of Porsche's 3.8-liter flat-six, derived from the 911 Carrera S. It sends power to the rear wheels solely via a six-speed manual transmission with dynamic gearbox mounts, and we're told the hot new coupe will sprint to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds – a full half-second quicker than the 340-hp Cayman GTS. Building upon that, the GT4 uses a host of chassis components from the potent 911 GT3, and offers further upgrades like ceramic brakes and carbon fiber bucket seats. This should make for one seriously track-worthy machine, and Porsche already says that the GT4 will run the Nurburgring in a scant 7:20 – the same time as the 2011 911 GT3. It's all very awesome, this GT4. To say we're stoked would be a gross understatement. Look for it to hit Porsche dealers in July, starting at $84,600. This content is hosted by a third party. A New Member of Porsche's GT Family The benchmark in its class: the Porsche Cayman GT4 Atlanta, Feb. 3, 2015 - Porsche's GT family is proud to announce the addition of an exciting new member: the Cayman GT4. This is the first Porsche GT sports car based on the Cayman and features components of the 911 GT3. Clocking a lap time of 7 minutes and 40 seconds on the North Loop of the Nurburgring, the Cayman GT4 earns the same lap time as the 2011 911 GT3 and positions itself as the new benchmark atop its market segment. The Cayman GT4 clearly demonstrates Porsche's dedication and passion to continue to promote truly industry-leading two-door sports cars in the future – sports cars that are developed at the Motorsport department in Weissach. The engine, chassis, brakes, and aerodynamic design of the Cayman GT4 are configured for maximum driving dynamics while retaining the versatility and everyday utility that are typical of the two-seater Porsche coupe.
