1982 Porsche 911sc Targa on 2040-cars
Perris, California, United States
|
For sale is a California kept 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa. I am the 3rd owner. First owner a doctor, second owner a landscape architect. I purchased the Porsche in July 2005. The car has very low miles for the year (90,514). I have driven it little since purchasing. Thought I would have time for car but it has not been in the plans. It's time to sell to someone who does. It has been on a non-op since 2011. I replaced the fuel pump, filter, sparkplugs and wires last year. Brakes and tires are good. Car is all stock with stock wheels. Runs OK but a little cold blooded. AC works and accessories work. Nice Radio. New Battery and Car Cover. (Carfax report available by Email also) Pros: Very straight rust free body (California Car) ,Easy to repaint, Not modified, Low miles (90,514), Good Tires, New Ignition Wires and plugs.
Great car for someone looking for a classic German car at a reasonable price. New paint and a little TLC and you will have a great weekend or daily driver car.

Porsche shows off Cayman GT4 Clubsport in new video
Sat, Nov 28 2015Amateur racers rejoiced last week when Porsche unveiled a track-ready version of the Cayman GT4 at the 2015 LA Auto Show. Now, the company is doing a bit of publicity for the new track car, featuring the race-ready Clubsport video in a stylish, 53-second video clip. There's not a lot to it, to be honest. We see the GT4 Clubsport, we hear it briefly, but that's about it. So if you were hoping that we'd finally get a look at the stripped down cabin, we're sorry to disappoint you. Still, it's good to see Porsche's newest track car in motion for the first time. For those that need a refresher, the GT4 Clubsport retains the standard car's 3.8-liter flat-six engine, but pairs it with the company's super-fast dual-clutch transmission. Combined with basic safety equipment – racing buckets, six-point harnesses, a full roll cage, and a fire suppression system – and suspension components from the company's other entry level racer, the 911 GT3 Cup, and you get a race-ready, mid-engined coupe for the reasonable sum of $165,000. The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...
