1967 Pontiac Gto, Original, Phs Documented on 2040-cars
San Antonio, Texas, United States
|
This 1967 Pontiac GTO is P.H.S (Pontiac Historical Society) documented and still has the original owner’s manual and protecto plate. The car has only 76,500 original miles. It is all original except it had one paint job about 25 years ago. The paint is still in great condition but is just starting to show its age. It has the original 400 4 BBL automatic his/hers shifter, power steering, power brakes and factory air. It still has the original vinyl top on the car. The body is rust free with only a few spots with paint bubbles. The GTO runs and drives great. It is very dependable with plenty of power. The interior is original and in excellent condition for its age. There is a small tear in the driver’s seats and the driver’s door pull handle. All trim is original and in great condition. Only the rear bumper has been pushed in a little on the passenger side. The A/C compressor was rebuilt and the A/C system will be charged this week. Two sets of wheels come with the car. One set is 14” wheels with the original hubcaps. And the other set which is currently on the car are 15” Rally II wheels. This GTO is very clean and original. It has been well taken care of. Email or call (210-262-5626) me any questions or if you want other pictures. Thank you.

Motorweek looks back at the Pontiac Aztek
Thu, Jul 9 2015The Pontiac Aztek has earned a position as this generation's ultimate, automotive punchline. Even other execrable models like the Yugo or Mustang II probably get more respect these days just out of their sheer quirkiness, but the Aztek remains a joke. Fortify your mind for what's coming, though, because the much-maligned Pontiac might not be quite so atrocious, at least according to MotorWeek's latest Retro Review video. MotorWeek calls the Aztek, "GM's first true crossover vehicle," and it's amazing to think of the hated model as a progenitor of one of the most popular segments today. While admitting that the looks are polarizing, John Davis and company actually come away pleased with the Aztek's utility. They praise that there's a ton of room in the back, and the interior is packed with useful features like a removable cooler in the center console and radio controls in a cargo area. The show is even impressed with how the Pontiac drives and throws around accolades like "nimble" and "pleasant." After seeing the Aztek leading the pack on lists of the worst vehicles of all time for years, listening to it get such effusive praise is actually quite jarring. Could we all be so wrong? No, there's absolutely no debate that this is still a hideous automobile. However, MotorWeek asserts a complete reversal of the generally perceived wisdom about the early CUV. While unexpected, thinking about such an abhorred model in a different way is a cool experience. Check out the video for a different take on the Aztek.
Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
