Here is a three owner car that spent most of it life in a garage in sunny South Florida and then to my garage in sunny Southern California.
Nothing but fun and sun for this car. It is a real beauty that has 51,300 original miles. Twenty Five years of this car was spent in a fabulous car garage till I found it
from the second owner who was a friend of the original owner. In all that time it was not driven very much and when I got it, I made sure it was perfect as it sat pretty much all that time and needed to be brought back to perfect driving condition.

It has a very unusual blue purple Grand Prix color that you very rarely see on a Firebird. The Interior is the black vinyl color with high back bucket seats and
center console. The interior has all the options in it except power seats which would have meant this car had every option in it from 1969. The Engine is a 350 with High Performance Heads in it from a Trans Am, I just put in a new 4 barrel manifold and carburetor and chrome covers all from Edelbrock, instead of the stock two barrel it usually comes with. It has a automatic transmission and freeway gears in the rear end. Everything has been gone thru on the drive train and she is a true cruiser. We put in a high performance radiator and fan so it keeps temperature below 200 try that on any Pontiac. We also put in a high performance starter also to stop all the starter problems early Pontiac's had. I installed a new dual exhaust system that sound fabulous and all the rubber and suspension on the car has been redone along with new power front disc brakes and redone rear drum brakes. We put in a new Vintage AC System in the car in the stock vents so it looks original and works 100 percent better then original. It has tilt wheel and leather sport original steering wheel with firebird logo in perfect shape. It has the grab handle and factory sport gauges in the car also with a am/fm cassette from OPG Pontiac that fits the dash perfectly not the cut up dash wrong fit they all have. There are two speaker in the dash and two on the kick plate to make a great sounding system when the top is down. Speaking of the top it is electric and is about 4 months old. The interior is about a 10 perfect shape it was done a year before I got the car 3 years ago. Everything in the Interior works 100 percent.

The car has new TA Radials Tires and Perfect Rally 2 Wheels. Electric door locks and trunk and light package finishes up the car. All the trim is perfect and there is a ton more of extras in the car. You can call for more info. They do not get much better then this.

The only negative on this car at all is the paint job. It is very nice but has cracking in the paint in a few place as it was not done perfectly. It looks to nice to redo yet but in a few years that would make the car a trailer queen and car show winner. I prefer to drive a car and have fun.
Need anymore info please e-mail and we can talk.
Thanks for looking.

What's driving the spike in air-cooled Porsche 911 prices

Thu, Mar 26 2015

Classic car prices have been racing skyward in general, but prices for air-cooled (pre-1999) Porsche 911s are ascending like they're strapped to rocket boosters. It's been going on for years, and every year people are surprised by how outrageous it's getting: Classic Driver covered it this month, as did The Truth About Cars who included this example of a "scruffy" 1993 RS America with 215,000 miles asking $80K; Mike Spinelli at Drive riffed on it at length last year along with a host of classic-car-market observers; Porsche forums were at it two years ago; and let's not even get into the 993 Turbo, going for prices so high you have to lie down to look at them. Speed Academy has run a piece looking at why it's happening, one theory being that regular-guy owners are hopping on the runaway-price wagon without any good reason. As in the example of that high-mileage, scruffy 911 RS America at Bring a Trailer, the owner sees pristine examples valued by Hagerty at $170,000, and even though the average value is $93,238 he thinks something like, "Mine's got to be worth half of top dollar ..." The tide - even one rising on air - makes it hard to find decent prices. Then there is the flood of money into the market. In spite of articles that try to temper investors' outlooks on collectible cars, other articles in places like the Financial Times and the Guardian promote vintage metal as a safe place to put money and reap astonishing returns. Speed Academy thinks one side effect of high 911 prices is that responsible enthusiasts are turning their attention to cars like the BMW 2002, E30 M3, and E9 3.0CS, saying their prices are "sharply on the rise." The entire article is worth a read since it goes into markets far afield from pricey German steel, but incredibly, the entire piece was actually inspired by a 1997 Acura Integra R that sold for $43,000 on eBay. So while this could be the best time to get into the classic car market if you know what you're doing, it is certainly the best time to do your homework. Related Video:

German prosecutors have recorded calls between VW bigwigs talking dieselgate

Thu, Mar 21 2019

It's barely possible to believe how poorly Volkswagen continues to handle dieselgate. Depending on which day you catch the news, the German carmaker embodies the corporate venality of "Michael Clayton," the comic blundering of the Coen Brothers' "Burn After Reading," and the every-man-for-himself vengeance of "Reservoir Dogs." Today is Tarantino day, with news that German prosecutors have recordings of phone calls between former Audi and Porsche development boss Wolfgang Hatz, ex-Volkswagen Group executive Matthias Muller, and current Porsche executives Oliver Blume and Michael Steiner. Hatz made the calls to the trio in November 2015, two months after Volkswagen admitted its diesel-particulate sins to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Hatz was still employed at the time, and in his company car. Who recorded the calls? His wife. Hatz and his missus apparently saw the storm coming and started stacking defenses early. Hatz's wife, who can be heard encouraging Hatz during at least one call, sent the recordings to Hatz's attorney from her mobile phone. According to a Google translation of the German newspaper Handelsblatt's report, she included the note, "Here is a very long, but quite informative conversation on the current situation with useful formulations." The report in Handelsblatt said that in Germany it is generally "not allowed" to record a conversation and pass it on to a third party. We don't know how the authorities will handle this matter, since prosecutors found the recordings in e-mail attachments on Mrs. Hatz's mobile phone. Remember, when the diesel scandal broke, VW spent months saying that only a small number of low-level personnel were behind it, and all of the higher-ups had been blindsided. Ex-CEO Martin Winterkorn claimed to be "stunned that misconduct on such a scale was possible in the Volkswagen Group." Winterkorn successor Matthias Muller said, "according to current information, a few developers interfered in the engine management." Former VW USA honcho Michael Horn told a congressional committee that "a couple of software engineers" programmed the software for reasons no one could understand. In the recorded conversations, Hatz apparently called Muller to find out how VW planned to treat him.

Jay Leno tries out a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge that looks factory fresh

Tue, Jan 31 2017

The latest machine to show up on Jay Leno's Garage is arguably the most iconic Pontiac GTO, the 1970 Judge. The example here is a radically red model and features all of the nifty Judge features, such as the mega-size rear wing, hood-mounted tachometer, and ram air hood scoop. The latter of which had a panel in the hood that would open up at full throttle to let in all that cool air from outside. The car is owned by the Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tires, a company that specializes in reproducing classic tires. Not surprisingly, his GTO features a set of the company's Firestone Wide Oval tires. That particular tire would have come with the car originally, but these new versions are built like modern radial tires, rather than the slippery bias-ply originals. The tires are indicative of how Kawasaki restored the rest of his Judge. Everything has been taken back to factory-spec. It has a stock, 400-cubic inch V8 that makes a supposedly underrated 366 horsepower, and it's complete with the chrome valve covers and foam intake seal. The tires are accompanied by exact replica GTO Judge wheels. The car even has the true, original interior. Somehow, the upholstery, dash, and other interior components survived in excellent condition. Check out the video above for more details on this flashy muscle car, as well as some reminiscing about the "good ol' days," and some history on the origins of the car's name. Related Video:
