1999 Pontiac Trans Am GMMG built from Marietta Ga(Google GMMG for info). I was a former employee for roughly a year.. this vehicle was built by Mike and Ron.. I have a invoice showung that this was built at the shop as well as pictures. Extremely clean 20K mile car never driven in winter. Car needs nothing and no expense was spared in the build of this vehicle. This car has Kooks headers, full GMMG chamber exhaust, Comp custom cam, TEA heads, LS6 intake, underdrive pulley, 4.11 gears, Spohn weld in subframe connectors, Spohn larger sway bars from and rear, Spohn panhard bar, Hurst short throw shifter and much more.
Car put 451 at the wheels. I have the dyno sheet from GMMG. I have owned this car for ten years and I am selling it only because I bought a corvette.
Many interior mods including led lighting in interior and exterior . The stereo is a Pioneer double din and two JBL amp and cutome made amp rack and a ten inch enclosure. The whole interior was removed to put sound deadener in the interior. I have new two tone leather interior installed last year as well. New 18 wheels and tires with less then 200 miles. Brake calipers are powder coated as well. This car is stamped on the heads by GMMG when I was employed by them. You will not find a better better deal on a cleaner car anywhere!! Car is being sold cheap due to being a salvage title car that was fixed when I purchased it in Pa. You could not build a car like this for under $30k. Car had hit a house after swerving from a deer in the road. The driver side door and rear quarter as well as the bumper cover were replaced. Car should never have been totaled.
The only bad with the car is the chips under the hood and one paint chip shown in driver side front fender. Also the power antenea does not go down all the way, That is truly it. Please call 716-444-3522 if I don't answer please leave a message. Do not bid unless you have the money to buy this car..Car will more then likely be sold to the highest bidder. Car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Good luck bidding!

Junkyard Gem: 2000 Pontiac Sunfire coupe
Thu, Feb 21 2019In a few months, we'll reach the tenth anniversary of GM's axing of the venerable Pontiac brand. G6s, Vibes, and Matizes continued to be built until 2010, but I'm noticing a marked decrease in discarded Pontiacs lately, as I perform my junkyardy rituals. Here's a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, photographed in a Colorado wrecking yard. The Sunfire was the near-identical sibling to the Chevrolet Cavalier, based on the long-running (1982-2005) J-Body platform. It was cheap and simple, looked pretty sporty (at least in coupe form), and every parts store in North America carried just about everything you'd need to keep one running. This coupe had to compete for sales not only with a vast and menacing array of imports but with GM's own Saturn SC2 (not to mention the Cavalier itself). Meanwhile, the J platform was showing its age more with each passing year. This car sports what must have been the complete line of Fatal Clothing bomber-nose-art/skate-punk/gang-tag-influenced decals, circa 2010. I actually photographed this car back in 2011, then misplaced the image files until last week. The stickers are very California-centric for a Colorado car, but then plenty of Californians — including me— move here. When you know you're a car's final owner, it's a lot easier to whip out the paint pens and redecorate the interior. Power came from the engine GM developed for the very first J-Bodies: the 2.2-liter 122 pushrod four-cylinder. 2002 was the last model year for 122-powered Sunfires and Cavaliers; the most affordable S-10/Sonoma/Hombre trucks got this engine through 2003. It even came with a remote, so bad Midwestern farmgirls could make quick getaways when caught in the act by enraged broom-wielding mothers. Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson
Tue, Sep 25 2018Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher. CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
