I am the original owner of this car and it has never been driven by anyone other than myself. Overall this is an excellent example of a 1984 Pontiac Fiero SE that has been very well cared for and does not exhibit any unusual signs of wear and tear for a car that is 30 years old with less than 37,000 miles. I purchased it from Davis Pontiac in Richboro PA in the fall of 1983. The interior of this car is in excellent condition. Everything is original with the exception of the headliner which was recovered by Barron's Auto Glass & Auto Upholstery in Horsham PA, April 1997. The sun visors were replaced with after market visors from the Fiero Store. This car was ordered with the European Leather package for the seats. I also have the Kroupana sueded pigskin care package that was sent out to all original owners by Wolverine Leather Division, Rockford Michigan. Care package is in original condition and has never been used on the seats. Seats have never seen any chemical cleaners and look as they do because of exceptional care, low mileage, and garage storage. The paint is in very good condition and does show some signs of etching. The rear deck lid decal "Fiero 2M4" was removed. Car is currently garage kept and has been for the last 25 years. It has been my sunny day-summertime car for all that time. Running condition is good, does weep some oil through the valve seals that burns off during startup. The air conditioning does not work but all pieces are in place. There are two small puncture holes in front bumper (see picture) and the outer door glass seals are cracked from age. Car was titled as a Classic as of February 25th, 1994. Last inspection was October 2012 with an odometer reading of 36,042 miles, current odometer reading is 36,250 miles. The last two inspections were completed by Accel Auto Service of Warminster PA while all other inspections were done by Jamison Auto Service and Tim's Auto Service. Car has never been involed in any accidents and has never had any paint/body work as well as any mechanical work other than routine maintenance. Tires are old, noisy, and hard from age and must be replaced. Wheels are in good condition no curb damage or scrapes but clear coating is cracking. The radio does play but does not always turn on when you press the power button, may take several attempts but once on it does work. I do have the original owner's manual as well as the original Dealer Copy of the Car Shipping Record. I do not have the original window sticker. Also included is the 1984 Pontiac Service Manual as well as the Haynes Pontiac Fiero repair manual.

One of Burt Reynolds' favorite cars could be yours
Fri, Apr 12 2019LOS ANGELES — One of Burt Reynolds' favorite cars is going up for auction in June along with some of his cowboy boots, hats, sports jackets and other items from his estate, Julien's Auctions said on Friday. The two-day auction in Beverly Hills, authorized by the actor's family, comes almost a year after the death at age 82 of the charming star who was one of Hollywood's favorite actors. The highlight of the auction is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am car that Reynolds used on photo shoots and drove on the Bandit Run cross country rally, which re-enacts the journey at the center of his 1977 film "Smokey and the Bandit." The car, which Reynolds co-owned with his business partner Gene Kennedy, is expected to fetch up to $500,000 at auction, Julien's said in a statement. Two pairs of leather cowboy boots — one red and one yellow — are also offered for sale with estimates ranging from $800 to $2,000 a pair, along with two cowboy hats. Reynolds started out as a football player at Florida State University (FSU) before injuries suffered in a car crash wrecked his hopes of a professional career. But his attachment to FSU remained strong. The auction includes several custom or personalized FSU baseball, basketball and varsity jackets. Other highlights include an oil on canvas painting of the actor's favorite horse titled "Cartouche," which carries an estimate of $20,000 - $30,000. Other art works, furniture and dozens of personal items are also being offered for sale. The auction will take place in Beverly Hills on June 15 and 16, and will be preceded by a public exhibition of some of the items from June 10-14. Reynolds, who was also known for the 1960s television series "Gunsmoke" and the movies "Deliverance" and "Boogie Nights,"" died of a heart attack in Florida in September 2018. This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
Toyota urges owners of old Corolla, Matrix and RAV4 models to park them until airbags are replaced
Mon, Jan 29 2024DETROIT — Toyota and General Motors are telling the owners of about 61,000 older Corolla, RAV4, Matrix/ Pontiac Vibe models to stop driving them because their Takata airbag inflators are at risk of exploding and hurling shrapnel. The urgent warning Monday covers: Certain Corolla compact cars and Matrix hatchbacks from the 2003 and 2004 model years. RAV4 small SUVs from 2004 and 2005. Also covered are about 11,000 Pontiac Vibes from 2003 and 2004, which are essentially the same as the Matrix and were made at the same California factory. Most of the vehicles are in the U.S. “If the airbag deploys, a part inside is more likely to explode and shoot sharp metal fragments, which could cause serious injury or death to the driver or passengers,” Toyota said in a statement. Owners can go to nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter their 17-digit vehicle identification number to see if their cars are affected. If you're not the original owner of the vehicle, the manufacturer's recall letter might not reach you, so be sure to do the VIN check. The recalled RAV4s have Takata driver's airbags while the Corolla and Matrix models have them on the passenger side. The Corolla and Matrix also are under a separate recall because their airbags can be deployed without a crash, the company said. Both companies said owners should contact a local dealer instead of driving the cars in for repairs. Dealers will provide options such as mobile repair, towing the car to a dealer, or vehicle pickup and delivery. Takata used volatile ammonium nitrate to create a small explosion to inflate airbags in a crash. But the chemical propellant can deteriorate over time when exposed to high temperatures and humidity. It can explode with too much force, blowing apart a metal canister and spewing shrapnel. At least 26 people have been killed in the U.S. by Takata inflators since May 2009, and at least 30 have died worldwide including people in Malaysia and Australia. In addition, about 400 people have been injured. The exploding airbags sent Takata of Japan into bankruptcy. The potential for a dangerous malfunction led to the largest series of auto recalls in U.S. history. About 100 million inflators were recalled worldwide.
