I'm selling my car because I am currently a university student and I need to cover my tuition bills. I don't want to part with the car because it was my first car and I have a lot of memories with it. However, I have to do what I have to do so am offering my car for 1750. I don't want any lowballers, ive turned down lowballers before. I need the money before my tuition is due in october so I am trying to sell it fast :( I think 1750 is a fair price considering the engine has low mileage(70xxx). I understand that its not in perfect condition but the car has been well kept since I bought it at an auction. I bought it with a blown headgasket and it overheated, so I was forced to get a new engine for it. I put over 3500 into this car and bought it for 2000, so I am being quite fair with my pricing. It also also far below the KBB pricing, because I need it to sell asap.
If you are interested in buying or would like to come see the car/test drive it, please contact me at 215-498-5427 via phonecall or text anytime.
Good:
-Has sunroof, custom headunit, custom front and rear speakers, and 12" alpine type R subwoofer in the trunk powered with a 760 watt pioneer amp.
-I got a new engine replaced at about ~125k miles, and this new engine has never had a single problem. New engine has 70xxx miles on it.
-Besides paint issues car has no dents whatsoever.
-Car is a head turner, good ride, pretty smooth, no transmission/engine problems, quiet idle, and handles very well.
-Car is very reliable and averages 20 MPG.
-The heat works very well so this car is good for winter weather.
-Sound system is amazing, period.
-Overall a very fun car to drive with many engine tune ups done, all the works, oil change, spark plugs, tires, filters, timing belt, idler, radiator, brakes, headlights, bulbs, injectors. No oil or transmission leaks.
-Clear title, tags, car is clean.
Bad:
-Minor cosmetic flaws, the biggest one is on the spoiler.
-The body has 145k miles original miles
-The only interior flaw is a paint stain in the backseat which can easily be taken care of. Otherwise the interior is in pretty good condition. no rips on any upholstery.
-A/C works but there is a leak in the system, easy fix.

Junkyard Gem: 2007 Saturn Sky
Sat, Jun 26 2021The Pontiac Division didn't have long to live when the Solstice first appeared in 2005 as a 2006 model, and Saturn's head was inching toward the chopping block at about the same rate. Still, optimism reigned — at least, it did until the global economy fell apart — and so Saturn Dealers got a rebadged version of the Solstice to sell: the Sky. Available for just the 2007 through 2010 model years, slightly more than 34,000 Skies rolled out of showrooms before the doors were nailed shut. Here's one of those rare cars, found in a Denver-area self-service yard a few weeks ago. I've found a handful of discarded Solstices in car graveyards during the past few years, mostly with crash damage. This Sky endured a medium-hard impact in the right front corner, which sent it to this place. The 177-horsepower, 2.4-liter Ecotec still resides under the battered hood. The Sky Redline version had a turbocharged engine rated at 260 horses; we can assume that such an engine would be yanked and purchased by the first junkyard shopper that realized what it was. The base transmission in the Sky was an Aisin five-speed manual, but this car has the optional five-speed automatic. The Sky had its own nose and some different badging, but otherwise didn't differ much from the Solstice. For the South Korean market, the Sky got Daewoo G2X badges and was advertised as the ideal vehicle for high-speed chases through Seoul traffic. The same car went to Europe as the Opel GT. Sadly, GM ran out of money to make right-hand-drive Skies, so we never got to witness Holden or Vauxhall versions. Here's Bob Lutz describing the new Sky. Lutz really hated car names molded into plastic bumper covers, so he takes great care here to describe the genuine glued-on emblems. Related Video:
Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
GM's got 107 problems and NHTSA's No. 1
Thu, Mar 6 2014General Motors' problems with its recall of roughly 1.6-million vehicles continue to mount. Now that it has emerged that GM knew about the problem since at least 2004 but waited to recall vehicles until February 2014, regulators at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have begun a much deeper investigation. NHTSA has sent a 27-page survey to GM that includes 107 questions about the timeline of what led up to the recall, and it has until April 3 to reply. This isn't a simple, multiple-choice test. Automotive News believes that hundreds of pages could be required to answer some of the queries. NHTSA says that it is still investigating GM's response to the recall. "We are a data-driven organization, and we will take whatever action is appropriate based on where our findings lead us," said NHTSA in a statement on its website. If found liable, the automaker could face a fine as high as $35 million and even possible criminal charges, according to Bloomberg. NHTSA's questions include a detailed explanation of GM's examination process; how it will improve the process; why a planned redesign of the cars' key in 2005 wasn't implemented; and specific data on each complaint it received. According to Bloomberg, NHTSA also has records that show the company had a meeting with regulators to discuss the airbag failure in a Chevrolet Cobalt in 2007. New GM CEO Mary Barra has also hired an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation about what happened. It will include questioning company employees who were involved with the process from the start. The recall stems from faulty ignition switches that shut off the car while driving, and if it occurs the airbags deactivate. Thirteen deaths and 23 crashes have been caused by the problem, according to Bloomberg. If you would like to peruse NHTSA's entire questionnaire for GM, it can be viewed here.
