The engine has 124,000 ORIGINAL MILES on it. I had the carb rebuilt and tuned to the car. I had the gas tank clean out and coated. I replaced the fuel filter and fuel line. I will need Brakes soon. The interior needs work. The head liner in the back passenger side has to be put back up. It has slipped out from behind the molding. The front bucket seats need to be re-done. I would probably also do the back seat too. The Original Radio is in the car, but not in the dash where it should be. I have ALL the NEW rubber moldings for the car (Windows, Trunk, Door). The exterior need some work too. Its ORIGINAL color is GREEN, but 2 owners before me painted it black. I was going to restore to the original green. It have the normal problems a GTO thats over 40 years old has. The wheel wells have some rot, and the wind shield driver side post has some surface rust. Not much left to do."

Overall this is a nice car. I was garage kept for most of its life. The last 15 years, however it has been left out side. So some wear and tear took place. So I have put a lot of money into this car. I have taken care of all the drive train (engine, Trans, Rear). I had the carb rebuilt and the gas tank drained and re-coated.  I also put a new fuel filter and fuel line on it. So it RUNS GREAT!!!

The interior has to be re-done. You can go original or custom. If you go original (at minimum)  you will at least need to redo the front bucket seats and re-position the head liner in the passenger side rear piece. The head liner slipped out from behind the molding piece.

I have the original radio, but it's missing the knobs and such. But you can get those pieces from Year One Inc. They have GREAT reproductions. Or you can find the originals on here (eBay). The radio that was in the dash was DIN. I have another Dash Bezel if you plan on putting in the original AM Radio.

The exterior need some work. I was told by an autobody place that the wheel wells need some work because there is some rot starting, and the wind shield post on the driver's side has some surface rust. He says it's NORMAL for a 40 something Year Old car.

If you live within a drive of Woodbridge New Jersey, come and see the car up front.I can let you see the car and hear it run.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAR IS UP FOR SALE LOCALLY!!! So don't wait to long or it might be gone!

GM expands headlight recall to 180k Buicks and Pontiacs

Thu, Aug 20 2015

General Motors is issuing an expanded headlight module recall to include 180,504 examples in North America of the 2005 Buick LaCrosse (2008 model year pictured above) and 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Specifically, the campaign affects 159,584 of them in the US and 20,920 in Canada. When the part fails, the vehicles' low beams can stop working either intermittently or permanently. "GM is unable to confirm any crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this condition," the company said in a statement, and there's currently no permanent repair for the problem. For now, dealers will replace the headlamp module with a new example of the same part. The automaker first announced this campaign in November 2014 when it affected 316,357 examples globally of the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse; 2006-2007 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X; and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender. 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Junkyard Gem: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi

Sat, Jun 19 2021

The General's Pontiac Division sold Bonnevilles from 1958 through 2005, which turned out to be well over half of the marque's existence. Named after the Bonneville Salt Flats, some Bonnevilles were huge but pretty quick, others were slow-motion land yachts, and some were nearly indistinguishable from their Buick and Oldsmobile brethren. The final generation, sold for the 2000 through 2005 model years, were among the quickest and most distinctive-looking Bonnevilles ever built, but they arrived in showrooms at a time when the clock was ticking for the division's very survival. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those cars, an '01 with the hot-rod SSEi package. The Bonneville SSEi first appeared in the 1992 model year, just a year after the Buick Park Avenue Ultra was the first of many GM cars to get the 3.8-liter Buick V6 with an Eaton supercharger bolted on top. Production of the Bonneville SSEi continued through the 2003 model year, after which the GXP version and its Cadillac Northstar V8 took over. The 2001 version of this engine made 240 horsepower, good for plenty of torque-steery fun. Could you get this car with a manual transmission? What do you think? Some cursory research indicates that 1970 was the last model year for a three-pedal Bonneville, and even those cars must be incredibly rare. This one looks to have been in nice shape when it arrived here, with the original manuals still in the glovebox. By 2006, the Bonneville was gone; four years later, Pontiac was gone.
