2009 Pontiac G8 Base Sedan Excellent Condition 33.8k Magentic Gray, V6 on 2040-cars
Dayton, Ohio, United States
|
Extremely clean, loaded 1 owner car with only 33,807 miles! Runs and drives perfectly. Magnetic gray metallic, black leather interior. DOHC V6, 5 spd auto w/sport and manual modes, RWD, independent rear suspension, 4-wheel discs, factory dual exhausts, and traction control. Blaupunkt premium audio with in dash 6 CD changer, remote start, remote trunk latch, XM satellite radio, and OnStar. Heated seats, moonroof, dual zone climate control, many more bells and whistles. Original rubber is still good, estimate about 25-30% remaining. Powertrain warranty good through Jan 2015, corrosion warranty though Jan 2016.
This car is in perfect shape with the exception of the following: - 3 tiny rock chips on the front end that can be touched up very easily - Very small scuff on the edge of two of the rims that you need to be about 2-3 feet away to notice It is an extremely solid, great-driving car. The DOHC V6 has really fine performance without the thirst or insurance penalty of the V8. The car is absolutely a joy to drive whether interstate cruising or more twisty roads. Extremely responsive handling and smooth change of direction. I am the original owner of this car and am only parting with it because I am moving out of state and don't want to have it shipped there. The AutoCheck report shows 2 owners; however, we retitled it under my wife's ownership in her home of record state, North Dakota (the title event showing change from FL to ND title), as she is active duty military and we didn't want to keep dealing with vehicle re-registration when we moved. |

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium
Fri, Jun 12 2015Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. Junkyard Gem: 1988 Pontiac LeMans Sedan
Tue, Feb 7 2017During the 1960s, the Pontiac LeMans was a sporty, rear-wheel-drive midsize car, the GTO's cheaper sibling. Through the 1970s and into the middle 1980s, the LeMans became a bit less youthful-looking but remained a traditional rear-wheel-drive Detroit machine with a V8 engine option. Then, starting in the 1988 model year, the LeMans name went onto a South Korean-built version of the misery-inducing, front-wheel-drive Opel Kadett E. These were dark days for the Pontiac marque; here's the proof, photographed at a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard last month. This one didn't quite make it to the 100,000-mile mark. These cars were very, very cheap and sold reasonably well, but nearly all of the 1988-1993 LeManses are hatchbacks. I have seen a total of two Daewoo LeMans sedans during the last decade, and this is one of them. Under the hood, 74 raging Opel/Daewoo horsepower. This content is hosted by a third party. In the United States, the ads for the LeMans were all about the hatchback, and all about cheap excitement.
