1967 PONTIAC FIREBIRD WITH BLACK VINYL TOP.  Has a 400  cubic inch engine Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes,

Factory Air Conditioning  (needs compressor) and American Racing Chrome Wheels.  Car drives and runs great.  Interior looks great and outside looks good for

a 47 year old car. I own the car since 1996 and never had a problem with it.

All lights work headlights taillights brake, turn signals dome etc.  All gauges work speedometer, gas, temp, etc.

Only minor things on car   1) Tires have plenty of tread but are about eight years old, you may want to replace them before any high speeding.

                                          2) Driver side fender was bumped in parking lot once ( I popped it out but you can tell by your hand that it is not completely smooth).

                                          3) Car needs a professional paint touch up or repaint.  Five years ago I had car painted because I did not like the pale mauve blue that it came with.

I did a quick MAACO special $299 on it just to change the color,  if I had known that it  would come out looking so good, I would of went

with their Supreme for $1000.   They tried to talk me into getting the Supreme  and told me that with the $299 they just spray the car and not sand

or bake  it and stuff so that paint adheres stronger to it.  I figure I would probably get it professionally painted later on so I went with the special $299.

After seeing how good the paint looked on it, I really wished I had gone with the Supreme.  The car looked beautiful, but like they said,  after a few

years the paint started flaking and coming off.  I sanded off the flaked paint on the hood and painted it, but the color does not match so someone who

know how to match paint  would need to do it or just get the Supreme at Maaco and have it done right.

Deposit:   At the end of auction a $500 deposit must be paid within 48 hours.  Preferably by PayPal if possible.

VIN#  223377U163877

Reason For Selling -  Buying a Hemi to put into my 73 Challenger  (cost for it $9350, that how I came up with that number.

Call me if you have any questions or need any more info.  Thank You

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull.
