I have for sale a 92 240sx hatchback… It’s black with light rainbow
flake in the clear, and House of Color Pavo Purple on bottom. It has Matrix racing seats. It also has B-magic 30mm over fenders in rear
and fiberglass 30mm fenders in front. I
am currently running Rota P45s 18x9.5 (+25) with 255/30 18s in the front and
285/30s in the rear. They still spin
through 2nd gear. I also have
another pair of 255/30s as well as 2 road racing tires on steel wheels for drag
racing. Speaking of drag racing, it runs
between 11.7 and 12.1 trapping between 123mph and 126mph depending on the
day. Check those times and speeds against other cars that run the streets. That is with stiff coilovers and
not even using drag tires. It was being
built with road racing in mind. I have
lost interest because I moved away from my racing buddies and have been hanging
out with new people. There are a lot of
great parts on this car. One ride and
you would understand what its worth… Compare those 1/4 mile times with any other
street car that was set up for road racing and you will definitely
understand. I also have a kenwood radio
with a Memphis Mojo 10 and 1000w Memphis amp to go with it. Please understand that this car was built for
racing, but only 1/4 mile tracked and drifted a couple times. It is not the most comfortable ride, or
quiet. It is very fast and reliable
though. Car needs a cage, a bigger turbo and it would be a monster, even more than it is now Engine: Gauges have changed, now have a Greddy oil pressure and AEM wideband Mishimoto radiator with dual electric fans and hoses HKS dragger exhaust with 3 in downpipe 24000 miles Motor was built with 650 whp in mind, but it needs a bigger turbo
Short throw shifter 6 puck un-sprung clutch Driveshaft shop driveshaft Low Mile VLSD (locks great)
ECU: Runs closed loop wideband and Boost control… 22psi… Boosts less in
1st and 2nd gear to help with traction Suspension: It has B magic coilovers with adjustable dampening, as well as all
the adjustable goodies for the front and rear suspension. I also have a spare set of rear struts with
megan springs. Extra aftermarket rear
swaybar. New Battery this past fall, fluids changed every season before storage. new plugs Engine was over 12K to build |

Nissan drives glowing Leaf on Holland's glowing highway
Fri, Mar 20 2015If you thought that applying phosphorescent paint to the Nissan Leaf made it look like something out of Tron already, brother... you don't know the half of it. Or at least you won't have until you see what the car looks like on a glow-in-the-dark highway. A glow-in-the-what-now, you ask? That's right: for about a third of a mile on the N329 in the Netherlands, running through the city of Oss, the highway glows in the dark. Not the whole roadway, of course. That'd be weird. Even for the Dutch. No, the so-called Smart Highway designed by Daan Roosegaarde (whose Dutch heritage is evident by the number of vowels in his name) uses phosphorescent stripes to obviate the need for lighting. They work just like the paint on the Leaf (or for that matter any number of toys we had as kids), absorbing sunlight during the day and emitting it at night... in this case for up to eight hours. The resulting footage and photography, though surely heavily edited, needs to be seen to be believed. That is, assuming you don't already live in a computer where users force you to play in games for their own amusement and Jeff Bridges runs amok. Nissan recently became the first modern passenger car manufacturer to apply glow-in-the-dark car paint to a car, to showcase how many customers of the world's best-selling electric vehicle are powering their car from solar energy generated at home. Now it has gone one step further, by driving the all-electric Nissan LEAF on the Smart Highway – the first time a phosphorescent car has been driven on the famous stretch of road. And the location of the world's only luminescent highway was fitting, as Nissan has announced an uplift in electric vehicle sales of 313 percent in the Netherlands last year. The innovative Smart Highway project was conceived by designer Daan Roosegaarde to help guide drivers in the dark, while saving energy that might otherwise be used in street lighting.
U.S. will extradite father and son charged in Ghosn escape to Japan
Mon, Mar 1 2021BOSTON — An American father and son accused of helping former Nissan Chairman Carlos Ghosn flee Japan are being handed over on Monday to Japanese authorities for extradition from the United States, a person familiar with the matter said. The U.S. Supreme Court last month cleared the way for the extradition of U.S. Army Special Forces veteran Michael Taylor and his son, Peter Taylor, who are accused of helping Ghosn flee Japan while he was awaiting trial on financial charges. The Taylors, who have been in U.S. custody since their arrest in May, left the jail early on Monday to be flown to Japan, according to the person. Defense attorney Paul Kelly did not respond to a request for comment but told the Associated Press that the men had been turned over for extradition. The U.S. Justice Department declined to comment. They were charged last year with helping Ghosn flee Japan on Dec. 29, 2019, hidden in a box and on a private jet before reaching his childhood home, Lebanon, which has no extradition treaty with Japan. Ghosn was awaiting trial on charges that he had engaged in financial wrongdoing, including by understating his compensation in Nissan's financial statements. Ghosn denies wrongdoing. Prosecutors said the elder Taylor, a 60-year-old private security specialist, and Peter Taylor, 27, received $1.3 million for their services. The Taylors waged a months-long campaign to press their case against extradition in the courts, media, State Department and White House with the aid of a collection of high-powered lawyers and lobbyists. The Taylors' lawyers argued unsuccessfully in U.S. courts that their clients could not be prosecuted in Japan for helping someone "bail jump" and that, if extradited, they faced the prospect of relentless interrogations and torture. Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads
Thu, 22 Aug 2013The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.
