Mercedes-benz: Cls Class Cls500 Immaculate Condition - Silver Exterior Black Int on 2040-cars
Owings Mills, Maryland, United States
You are looking at an immaculate 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500 with just over 58,000 easy miles.
This car is fully loaded with almost every option offered including GPS Navigation, power windows, locks, sunroof, seats, heated seats, single and six CD player, power head rest (front and rear)... Maintenance records come with the car, but the car has needed very little work in the nearly 5 yrs of ownership. This car only gets driven to church on Sundays and the occasional trip out of state. It rarely gets driven and it's time to let someone else enjoy it. There are some minor chips in the paint that a camera won't pick up, there is some curb rash on the alloy wheels and the child safety lock on the right rear door is stuck. Other than that, this car is nearly perfect. The tires have great tread and shouldn't need replacing for at least 15k more miles. The car comes with a fitted car cover and an extra tire. The spare tire and tool kit are in place including a first aid kit under the front seat. The gas mileage is pretty good for a large luxury car. I've been able to get up to 23 mpg on the highway, but typical range is 16-19mpg. The car handles very well and the torque is easily felt at all speeds. Put the shifter in manual mode and really feel the breathtaking power. Nothing rides like a Mercedes Benz and you won't be disappointed with this ride. It still turns heads because of the groundbreaking 4-door coupe design which is often copied by competitors. This car is absolutely beautiful as the pictures show. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Feel free to ask any questions. |

German carmakers recall 630,000 diesel vehicles in Europe
Fri, Apr 22 2016Mercedes, Opel, Porsche, and Volkswagen will recall over 630,000 cars in Europe, according to reports Friday. No diesel car has been able to get under the legal emissions limit in real-world driving, according to a German government investigation. While only Volkswagen Group has been using a specific "defeat device", other carmakers have been playing with their exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. Depending of the manufacturer, the systems have been cut off at a certain temperature. In a specific test cycle the systems operate to fulfill the legal requirements, but in everyday use the limits are exceeded. According to the magazine Der Spiegel, the supplier Bosch is behind this programming and has provided it to all German automakers. The mentioned carmakers have announced recalls, but many other manufacturers are also mentioned by name in the report, including Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Dacia, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Nissan, Renault, and Suzuki. PSA Group, which produces Peugeot, Citroen, and DS cars, declared yesterday that its offices were raided following an emissions investigation. Volvo S60 Polestar concept plays in the snow with Mercedes C63 AMG
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Chris Harris took to a snowy stretch of tarmac to get a fingertips-on-the-wheel feel of the Volvo S60 Polestar concept. Harris says the turbocharged sedan with 508 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque - and a manual transmission - is "a study to see if Volvo can get back into the fast-car market." The Polestar S60 concept, one of which was already purchased for $300,000 by a private buyer, is still making the publicity rounds because even Volvo's Chinese owners realize that, as Harris says, "Volvo sold more cars because it made fast cars" like the old 850 T5 Wagon that stormed the British Touring Car Championship in the 1990s.
For reference, Harris compares the blue wonder to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 487 hp and 442 lb-ft. The question is, were Volvo to get the price of a production version of the S60 Polestar to climb way down from its 200,000-pound sticker, could it be worthy competition to the established giants?
You can watch Harris divine the answer via a lot of drifting through the snow and a drag race in the video below.
Mercedes widens luxury sales gap on strong early CLA demand
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Mercedes-Benz CLA sales have been booming, with the Stuttgart-based manufacturer moving 2,300 of the sleek four-doors in its first week on sale. That is astonishing. Mercedes moved nearly twice as many CLAs (which start at $29,900) in one week than Jaguar, a brand that is on a very solid roll, sold in all of September. Ignoring the price differences between the Jag line and the CLA, that is still wildly impressive.
Mercedes has been pushing the CLA in television ads, using a shortened version of its Super Bowl spot, which starred William Dafoe, Usher and Kate Upton. "As the bargain entrance into the Mercedes portfolio, we weren't sure how luxury buyers would react," Kelly Blue Book auto analyst Alec Gutierrez told Bloomberg.
The CLA push was just part of MB's 6.7-percent increase in September sales, which were also helped along by a 17-percent jump in E-Class sales. That surge has allowed Mercedes to widen its 2013 sales lead over its rival, BMW, to 2,491 cars, according to Bloomberg. If CLA sales continue at this rate, we can only expect that margin to grow.
