2003 Mazda6 V6 Sport Edition 79k Miles Bose 5 Speed Leather Loaded No Reserve on 2040-cars
Long Branch, New Jersey, United States

Here is a very nice sporty 2003 Mazda 6 , 220 HP, dual exhaust, very fast and fun to drive with the 5 Speed. This car is loaded all power, including Sunroof, Premium Bose Stereo, cruise, and Steering wheel radio controls, and leather interior. Super low mileage car at just under 79,000 miles presently. Very nice comfortable car to drive, all power options work as they should. Tires are all good, brakes were recently done, and clutch has about 20,000 miles on it and feels great. Interior is in great shape, smoke free, and no rips or tears and super clean (just detailed). Car was just serviced, fresh oil change, new cabin air filter, all fluids checked and it's ready to go. Also replaced the rear trunk struts. The body is in overall nice condition with normal wear and tear and scratches for a vehicle it's age. there is a small spot on the right wheel well that could stand to be fixed otherwise the body appears rust free. The rear bumper has scratches as well. Overall the car looks very good from 5ft it's just not perfect and I want to be up front about that. Check my FEEDBACK and be confident in your bid!!! Clean retail on this car is $7800, so this is a WHOLESALE NO RESERVE opening bid starting price which allows you plenty of room to do a few things if you want to but I/M/O, I would just drive it as is. Your choice. Vehicle is also for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time with an offer above my opening bid. This entire description is my own opinion and is in no way a warranty either expressed or implied and the vehicle is being sold as is where is. It may be inspected and test driven by appointment any time prior to the end of the auction. Pick up and shipping is the buyers responsibility, but I will assist or work with your transporter to help make things go smoothly. Good Luck and happy bidding!! |

Electric Miata smokes Tesla Model S at the track
Wed, Jul 9 2014Yes, folks, you read that headline right. A souped up battery-electric version of a Mazda Miata took down a Tesla Model S on a quarter-mile drag strip. And it wasn't even close. Road Test TV was kind enough to post a video of a forest-green Miata (and its very stoked driver) doing a quarter-mile run in a rather brisk 9.27 seconds, beating the Model S sedan by a whopping 3.5 seconds in the process. And the Mazda crossed the finish line moving at 142 miles per hour, or 40 miles per hour faster than the Tesla was going when it finished the race. It's a good thing for the Tesla owner that they weren't racing for pink slips. Granted, the comparison is probably an unfair one because the Tesla was a stock, production vehicle (the P85 Performance model, but still), whereas who knows how the Miata was juiced up and how much cash it took to do the job. It's sort of like putting, say, an automotive writer against Usain Bolt because we ate the same breakfast and share 99 percent of our DNA. Still, the video does lend a certain credence to the idea that a battery-electric, super-light, rear-wheel-drive Miata would be a lot of fun, or at least a heck of lot more fun than any other Mazda out there. We're just sayin'. Check out the 100-second video below, and remember not to blink. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
2020 Mazda CX-3 adds active safety features plus Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
Thu, Jan 9 2020The CX-3, Mazda's smallest crossover offering, shrinks its showroom footprint for 2020, as the brand makes room for the newly introduced CX-30 just above it in the lineup. The 2020 CX-3 is cut back from three trim levels to just one, although that single offering is bolstered with additional standard equipment including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which come to the CX-3 for the first time. Even more significantly, Mazda is adding as standard a batch of active-safety features that includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and automatic high beams—formerly an option package costing $1,100. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert were already standard and continue. The 2020 CX-3 also gains automatic climate control, a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers and LED exterior lighting. For all that, the 2020 CX-3's prices rise just $250 over the 2019 CX-3 figures. The starting figure for the 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport is $21,685 with front-wheel drive or $23,085 with all-wheel drive (including $1,045 destination). The other news for the 2020 CX-3 is that the Touring and Grand Touring trims have been dropped. Which means that the features exclusive to those trims, such as leather seating surfaces, a power sunroof, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power driver's seat, are no longer offered. Buyers seeking those niceties perhaps are now expected to step up to the CX-30 — although it's not a big leap, with the CX-30 starting at $22,945.
Junkyard Gem: 2004 Mazda RX-8
Tue, Oct 4 2016You know when a type of vehicle has reached its value tipping point (where it's not worth fixing up a broken or crashed one) when examples of it begin showing up in the big American self-service wrecking yards. During 2016, the BMW Z3 and Mazda RX-8 reached that point and began to appear, just one at a time, here and there, but obviously they were the advance scouts for many to follow. Such cars usually get picked over in a hurry ... at first. Here's a well-stripped example of a first-year RX-8 I found earlier this year in a Denver yard. Some RX-7 owner probably nabbed the Renesis engine right away, and then the guys who grab late-model parts to flog on eBay were next. Still, plenty of interesting components remained on this car when I photographed it, and RX-8s that end up here in a year or two won't get swarmed by the vultures anywhere near as quickly. Does that mean that RX-8s are now cheap enough to race in the 24 Hours of LeMons? Could be!
