Drive in style and comfort in this classic luxury car from the muscle car era!  For sale is a good condition 1970 Lincoln Mark III.  In their prime the Lincoln Mark III and the Cadillac Eldorado battled it out for luxury car supremacy with the Mark III winning the battle.

This particular car has been garage kept since it was bought a few years ago at a Ford dealership in Chicago.  The car drove from Chicago to Green Bay and has since seen a lot of updates done.  Those updates include:

-Carburetor rebuilt
-Passenger side exhaust manifold replaced (drivers side included with the sale)
-Timing chain and gears
-Timing cover and gasket
-Water pump
-Thermostat
-Belts
-Brake master cylinder
-Windshield washer reservoir
-Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve

This car has been to many car shows and taken home some trophies, but it's best to be placed in a "diamond in the rough" type of category.
Some items needing attention include:

-Needs paint.  The car looks great from 10 feet and gets a lot of attention.  People have stopped to take pictures of the car.  However, up close you can see areas where the wrong color white touch-up bottle was used.
-Small amounts of rust that appear to be minor.  The drivers door has the worst patch and I included a picture of it.  There is also some bubbling under the vinyl top and a small amount on the trunk.
-Turn signal arm needs replacing.  A used replacement will be included free (originally bought for $350) with the vehicle sale.
-Passenger door arm rest needs a screw replaced
-Passenger power seat moves in all directions except reverse
-Passenger door needs a new hinge
-Both rear power windows in-op.
-Power antenna in-op
-Blower motor needs replacement (Mechanic has informed me the A/C may work as everything gets cold.  We just don't know, because the blower motor doesn't work).

This Lincoln Mark III can be trusted to drive anywhere!  The only reason I'm selling the car is so I can purchase a newer body style Ford Mustang.  This car is equipped with 8-track, A/C, and cruise control.

If you have any questions, please ask!  I've tried to be as honest as possible in the description of this vehicle.  A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 3 days of the auction ending.  The buyer is responsible to pay the balance within 7 days and pick up the car within 14 days of auction ending.  Deposit will be accepted via PayPal or Cash.  Final payment will be accepted only via Cash.

2020 Lincoln Aviator Review and Buying Guide | All-American sophistication

Fri, Apr 12 2019

The new 2020 Lincoln Aviator lands into one of the hottest luxury segments – three-row family crossovers – and is not only an incredibly relevant product, but a fully competitive and appealing one too. It all starts with a uniquely characterful interior that's likely to earn the Aviator a fair share of takers by itself. Then there's the exterior styling, which is long and sleek with a tapered roofline courtesy of new rear-wheel-drive architecture developed in concert for the Aviator and also-new Ford Explorer. The two vehicles share common bones, but the skin and muscle are quite different. Emphasis on muscle, too, because the Aviator's powertrain options utterly blow away its competition (a 400-horsepower turbo V6 and the Grand Touring's 494-hp plug-in hybrid). However, despite those eye-popping performance numbers, don't expect the Aviator to be a firm-riding, sport-tuned SUV. All that power is there if you need it, but it's part of an overall competent, composed driving experience rather than one thatÂ’s tightly wound and over-caffeinated. Frankly, it's a recipe that should make a lot of sense to American luxury buyers. If you're looking for a big, luxurious family vehicle, put it on your shopping list. What's new for 2020? The Aviator is an all-new model that slots into a previously unfilled slot in the Lincoln lineup between the five-passenger Nautilus and full-size, truck-based Navigator. 2020 Lincoln Aviator Interior View 9 Photos What's the interior and in-car technology like? No other company's interiors look anything like the mid-century-inspired palace of cool you get in the Aviator. All versions are available with distinctive color schemes shown above, but the Black Label trim level stands out the most with its three available "themes" of "Chalet," "Flight" and "Destination" that get special colors and trim types. Perhaps the quality of some plastics and the fit-and-finish aren't up to Mercedes or BMW levels, but everything looks so special that it makes up whatever deficit exists. Most competitors just seem drab and generic by comparison. In terms of technology, every 2020 Aviator comes standard with a 10-inch touchscreen mounted so high on the dash and close to the driver that it actually seems larger. It runs the Lincoln-skinned version of Ford's Sync 3 interface, which is generally user friendly, though it perhaps doesn't look as cool and sophisticated as the all-digital gauge cluster (or the interfaces of rivals).

Is Lincoln working on a Continental concept?

Wed, Mar 25 2015

The Lincoln Continental wasn't included in our post on the list of trademarks we'd like to see turned into production vehicles – the only Lincoln mention was our idea of transferring its Aviator name to a special edition Ford Mustang. But, like you, the idea of a resurrected Continental is always with us, especially when we read articles about the brand's efforts to redefine American luxury. Ford applied for the Continental trademark in 1953 and renewed in 2005, and it appears they might have something to show for it soon. A web snooper found a development site at the Lincoln domain that introduces us to the "elegantly styled and boldly distinctive Lincoln Continental Concept." There are no images, but we've combined all the text into a single image, above, and the hints we get in three blurb texts inform us that "It represents who we are as a carmaker," that it's an "envisioning of what's to come," that "No question went unanswered" and "No answer went unchallenged," and that it "is everything we know about cars, and everything we understand about people." We also found the tagline "Follow us forward," which doesn't appear on any published Lincoln site page at the moment, and the public is invited to get involved (eventually) by tweeting Continental stories and photos. Could this be the next step in the turgid drama Lincoln Rising? We look forward to finding out. Related Video:

Lincoln's first shipment of cars arrives in China

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

It has been two years since Lincoln first announced its plans to expand into China, and the first models destined for sale in the giant automotive market just came off the boat in Shanghai on September 10. It's going to be a few weeks before Chinese buyers actually have the chance to get behind the wheel, though.
The first two models being offered to China are the MKZ and MKC, as seen arriving in these photos, and they are going to be sold at dealers that look more like hotels than traditional showrooms. The first four are opening in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou in October, with a grand unveiling of the new brand to Chinese consumers later that month. By the end of the year, Lincoln wants to have eight dealers operating in seven cities. By 2016, the automaker wants to have a lineup of five models available in the People's Republic.
"This is the culmination of months of teamwork and collaboration both in North America and here in China," said Robert Parker, President of Lincoln China, in the company's release.
