TIME CAPSULE! Here is a ONE OWNER, ALL ORIGINAL, LOW MILEAGE 1992 Lincoln Town Car Executive!
This car belongs to my friend and mechanic of 30 years, Gus. He bought it new from Tom Curro Lincoln-Mercury in Laurel, Maryland, which is now out of business. He doesn't remember the exact purchase date, but the car was built in June 1992, so it was produced relatively late in the model year.
He stores it in his garage, under a car cover, under a tarp, so no light will damage it. He also has a matching dash cover on it to avoid sun damage to the dash when he drives it. It has been driven ONLY 57,335 miles and has never been driven in the snow. He had the car undercoated by Ziebart when he bought it. After the first 5,000 miles, he changed the oil to synthetic in the engine, transmission and rear and has changed the oil every three months since then. New Michelin tires were installed 10,000 miles ago. A new set of extra front and rear floor mats and all manuals he has are included. He is a mechanic, does all his own work, and has kept notes on all servicing he has done on the car.
If you have any questions about the car, please feel free to call Gus directly between 9am and 9pm USA Eastern Time at 410-465-4649. He will gladly discuss the car with you. Please do not email me, because I am a MoPar guy and will not know the answers. Besides, the best way to learn about the car is to talk to the professional mechanic who has owned it from day one.
Restorations are fine, but let's face it: they're only original once, and this is probably one of the best original cars of this vintage you'll ever find. View the photos and you'll see what I mean.
The reserve price will not be disclosed, so please don't ask.
LEGAL STUFF: Obviously, as a 21-year-old used car, it is sold "as is, where is." This means there is no warranty of any kind either express or implied. It also means the buyer is responsible for all costs associated with transfer of ownership, including but not limited to taxes, fees, shipping costs, insurance, titling, registration, inspection, or any other action necessary for the buyer to complete the transaction in accordance with all applicable statutes, regulations and procedures in both Maryland and the destination location.
PAYMENT TERMS: A deposit of $500 is due by PayPal only within 24 hours of auction end. The balance is due in full within 7 days of auction end by cash or certified funds. Under no circumstances will the title or the car be released to anyone until it is paid in full and all funds have cleared the bank. The car can be stored free of charge for up to 30 days after auction end so you will have adequate time to make your preparations as noted above and take possession of the car.
Thanks for looking, good luck bidding, and enjoy the drive home!

48-inch panoramic display kicks off Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience
Mon, Jan 22 2024Arguing against screens in new cars is a losing battle. Every automaker is working hard to boost the display real estate in new models, and the level of integration between cars and the connected world at large is growing rapidly. Ford and Lincoln recently detailed a digital development roadmap that places screens and software at the forefront of their ownership experience going forward, and it’s clear the pair view vehicles as another device in peopleÂ’s connected lives. Ford said the average U.S. household has 16 connected devices and noted that it believes vehicles should offer a seamless connection between them. The Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience features apps from Google, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and apps from Amazon, among others. The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is the current flagship for this technology, as it brings the brandÂ’s first 48-inch panoramic display, featuring the highest resolution ever offered in a Lincoln. The system serves as part of the SUVÂ’s driver assistance features, including BlueCruise, the hands-free semi-autonomous driving function. Beyond offering new features, Ford said the Digital Experience helps reduce distraction by letting drivers place the apps they use the most closest to their line of sight. Media, weather, and other information can be positioned in widgets on one side of the display to provide quick information, and owners can set up profiles to store different configurations for drivers. Part of the Ford/Lincoln tech expansion includes third-party app installations. The new system offers Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, iHeartRadio, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. Google Play games are also available and can use a Bluetooth controller connection. Video conferencing apps will soon be available to let owners Zoom wherever theyÂ’re parked. The Nautilus is the first Ford or Lincoln model to get the Digital Experience, but others will follow. Ford said the system is designed for future updates and expansion through over-the-air updates and 5G internet connectivity. 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve with Jet Appearance Package 2024 Lincoln Black Label Nautilus Hybrid View 41 Photos
2015 Lincoln MKC priced from $33,995* [w/poll]
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Looking to build on the momentum it struggled to establish with the MKZ, Lincoln recently unveiled the production version of its all-new MKC last month at the LA Auto Show. With a proven platform shared with the Ford Escape and striking design, the 2015 Lincoln MKC goes on sale next summer ready to take on the ever-expanding world of luxury compact crossovers. Breaking into this new segment, Lincoln has priced the MKC aggressively as one of the least-expensive offerings in its class, starting at $33,995 (*including destination charges).
At that price, the 2015 MKC costs a little bit more than a fully loaded 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and is just slightly less costly than the Acura RDX and Volvo XC60. More importantly, it's thousands less than Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Class. The MKC will be offered in three trim levels for now - there is still no more information about Lincoln's new Black Label products - ranging from the base Premiere up to the range-topping Reserve.
The Premiere will come standard with features like active grille shutters, push-button start, remote start, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats, while the midgrade Select starts at $37,225 and adds upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, daytime running lights and a steering wheel featuring Wollsdorf leather. The top-shelf Reserve trim level starts at $40,930 and brings even more luxury features including the panoramic roof, navigation, cooled front seats and wifi access.
Ford tweaking Model E dealer program to address dealer concerns
Wed, May 29 2024Ford's been working on its strategy and sales reorganization for a couple of years, the initiative that created the Blue (ICE), Pro (commercial), and Model E (electric) divisions. On the Model E side, part of continuous reworking of the EV arm has been in response to dealer lawsuits filed in numerous states, since Model E not only stipulated investments of anywhere from $500,000 to $1.2 million, the automaker initially wanted dealers to set no-haggle pricing, offer remote pickup and delivery for service appointments, and build chargers that would operate around-the-clock. Another big part of the tweaks to Model E is the continually unstable ground the entire electric project is built on. As part of understanding what dealers are facing and how to keep the electric wheels turning, Automotive News reports that the automaker held 11 meetings with dealers this year in six cities. Based on the feedback, more changes are coming to Model E as soon as next month.  During the roadshow, Ford told dealers to pause their investments into getting certified for Model E. This directive followed a corporate change in plans as Ford pulled investments in battery-electrics in favor of consumers' choice for hybrids. The head of Ford Blue — the internal-combustion-powered division that, with Ford Pro, has been paying the bills as Model E posts big losses — told AN, "We don't want them to make any decisions between now and the middle of June, when you can maybe have a more informed decision-making process based off what we work out with council in the next few weeks." One change has already been made public, the VP of EV programs telling an AutoNews business conference audience, “What weÂ’re finding is more dealers want to be involved in it and we donÂ’t want to be exclusive to just a handful, and so weÂ’re making a change where weÂ’re opening up that and not requiring as many certifications or investments for a dealer to participate in the EV revolution." Don't take that comment as a revelation; since the beginning, dealers complained about being excluded and needing to throw so much money at the program. Take that comment as Ford needing to find a better way in the "rapidly changing" environment. The official list of updates won't come until next month, when Ford meets its dealer council, and it should touch on topics beyond EVs.
