Great color for Arizona and a great year round vehicle. Seats 7 comfortably. Here are some of the options I can think of right of the back: Power sliding floor boards, Folding mirrors, Park assist mirrors, Parking censors, Back up camera, Keyless entry, Leather seats, Heated and cooled front and center seats, Power 3rd seats (seats 3 and the 60/40 split seat move individually), Navigation, TV, DVD/CD, 2 TV monitors, Rear A/C, Quad Captain Seats, Power rear (side) glass, Power lift gate, HID headlights, Fog light, 24 inch Chrome wheels with a good set of matching Dunlop tires, Tow package (heavy duty with trailer and electrical adapter), Dimming rear view mirror, Brand new front brakes, New Hood support struts, Fresh oil change (Full Synthetic), Wood interior, Privacy glass, Roof rack, Reusable K&N air filter, and a few other things that I'm sure I just can't think of at this moment. Previous owner changed the air suspension to struts from an 05 Expeditioner because he kept getting air leaks. Works perfect this way and no worries about expensive repairs in the future. Vehicle is in great all around condition and rides and drives great. No mechanical problems. It does have it's minimal wear and tear, but in great condition as you can see in the pictures. Only selling because I have an opportunity to make a profitable investment and need a large amount of $$$ to put down, so I have all 4 of my vehicles up for sale, so please check out my other auctions. This vehicle has a free and clear in-hand title, and you would save around $1000 in taxes by buying from an individual Vs. a dealer. The Navigator has a clean Car Fax Report with no accidents. Bought it back in June, 2012 and has been my weekend car since. Just took it on a family road trip from AZ to MO (almost 3K miles) and it drove like a champ. For more pictures click on this link: http://www.shutterfly.com/lightbox/view.sfly?fid=a53f35c824cf330d6cbbd47cbb382743 . Car has just over 120K miles. the pictures show 116,000, but that's because I took them about a month ago and I just returned from a trip to Missouri on it. All are well cared for miles. Vehicle runs strong and shifts smooth. This vehicle is located in Tucson, AZ and if you are local, contact me I'll be glad to show it to you. Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.
Why the 2015 Lincoln MKC is 'holding some powder'
Thu, 19 Jun 2014Earlier this month in our first drive of the 2015 MKC, we told you that Lincoln finally had a new vehicle in its arsenal worth crowing about. So with the compact premium crossover now finding its way into dealers, why aren't you seeing its likeness plastered on billboards and barraging you on television? It's because Lincoln is "holding some powder."
Those are the words of Lincoln's global director, Matt VanDyke, who tells Autoblog that the company is holstering some of its marketing guns because it's keen to avoid repeating the ill-timed efforts that blighted its last rollout, the MKZ. That vehicle's launch early last year was beset by various delays related to manufacturing and quality. The cadence issue was so dire that by the time the model reached showrooms in volume, Lincoln had already blown most of its budget on things like Super Bowl ads that ran weeks or even months before customers could check one out in person. It was a particularly trying series of events for parent Ford because the MKZ and its oversized marketing spend were charged with relaunching the Lincoln brand to the public.
Keen to avoid repeating the same timing issue and mindful of consumers' habits at this time of year, Lincoln is taking a different strategy with the MKC. According to VanDyke, "What we don't want to do is try and fight the summertime - people using television being down, and other mass media when school's out. New television shows aren't on." Of course, that doesn't mean Lincoln is sitting idle. VanDyke says, "By no means are we quiet during the next 90 days. This year, we're going to really spend the next 60 to 90 days using digital and social media, in-theater advertising and the like, and once we have full availability at dealerships, we'll really ramp up the advertising later on in the summer." Part of that early media effort includes immersive digital marketing like Lincoln's clever Dream Rides web experience.
Ford issues four recalls covering 163k vehicles
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Recalls! 2014 will be forever remembered as the year that automakers went recall crazy, with millions and millions of vehicles adding up to crush previous recall records well before the end of the year. Adding to that tally is Ford, which announced a call-back for 163,000 vehicles.
Leading that charge are the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engines of the Ford Focus ST and Ford Escape. 160,000 of the 2013 and 2014 models have bad wiring harnesses that can disrupt the signals traveling to the powertrain control module. That, in turn, could lead to a check engine light, reduced power and stalling. Notably, Ford hasn't recalled any other vehicles that feature the 2.0 EcoBoost, such as the Fusion, Taurus or Explorer.
While the Focus ST and Escape constitute the vast majority of recalled vehicles, they aren't the only problem children in the Ford family. 1,300 Transit passenger vans from model year 2015 were recalled due to brake fluid leaks, while another 600 Transit cargo variants were recalled after Ford discovered the windowless sliding doors could come open in the event of a side-impact crash. Dealers will replace the sealing washers on the passenger variants and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo models, The Detroit News reports.
