1992 SC300 factory 5 speed car w58 (have R154 Trans to go with car at asking price) JDM 1JZGTE converted to single turbo. 74000 miles on motor with many many upgrades over 20,000 invested . Car is set up as a DD with attitude pushing 390WHP at 17 lbs boost . The car has the ECU that came with the motor and a piggyback APEXI ems system .The engine is fully capable of producing monster type HP 750 to 900 hp with minor modifications and a standalone ecm if wanted. the clutch is a stage 2 and the trans shifts smooth no grinds period . Car purrs at idle and runs and drives like the Lexus she is . The car pulls extremely hard in all the gears yet can be driven in traffic as normal as your grandmas car , and has been almost my DD (as long as weather good) for almost 2 years .The suspension is stock struts with lowering springs and the stance is amazing .I have a set of brand new tannabe lowering springs if you wanted to slam her even more,but i like the smooth Lexus ride and the way she handles with this setup . The paint is very nice ,not perfect she is 22 years old but very nice looks awesome ,only body modification is 99 front end with chrome grille (new grille included in sale) The car has brand new set of 18' inch XXR 526 chromium black mesh style wheels and brand new Summimoto tires245 40 18 front and 275 35 18 rear . The front brakes are upgraded to BBK from Lexus LS400 4 piston calipers and new cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads front and rear . The battery is a optima red top relocated to the trunk and the exhaust is stainless single 3' from the down pipe SOUNDS AMAZING !!! The engine is a amazing 1JZGTE 3.0 inline 6 cyl with a precision 67 trim turbo producing upwards of 450 HP Just installed this spring ,new Mishimoto aluminum radiator and Mishimoto cooling fans Powdercoated valve covers and all new FMIC and new piping ,connectors,and clamps. New red anodized cam gears with a really rare clear cover from NOZZS . New chrome catch can New Driftmotion power steering pump New polished MK4 supra alternator Driftmotion polished pulley set including lightweight underdrive pulley , and of course timing belt ,water pump n tensioner n all gaskets n seals in front of motor , plus new coil packs n plugs n wires . Now onto the interior ,one of my favorite parts i completely redid the interior from bare metal; the car has dynomat on the floorboards for sound n heat deadening . The carpet is black and like new . The door panels and the dash have been custom refinished by me in two tone black n tan ,not the original tan a lighter more vibrant color looks absolutely awesome . The wood grain has been sanded down and refinished in glossy black enamel paint to match the shift bezel which is from Luxury Mods . the car has bright white LED lighting in the cluster and the needles actually work except for the tach needle is out . (you can still see it but doesn't glow ) > The seats have been redone in two tone black and tan vinyl looks like leather but wont crack or get stiff etc. The car also has a double Din DVD stereo system with bluetooth ,aux ports and navigation and PC plug ins . Everything works but the AC as there is none but can be reinstalled if you want . To repeat I don't have to sell this car and don't particularly want to but i will to the right buyer with cash and the desire to own a truly beautiful ,awesome street machine . This car turns heads everywhere i go and is a blast to drive slow or spool up and go fast !!! Mazda and Lexus crowned with KBB 5-Year Cost To Own awards
Tue, 12 Feb 2013We report on a lot of awards, some of which are given out based on more solid criteria than others. This one, the Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own awards, seems like one that new car shoppers should pay attention to.
The cost of a car goes far beyond what you pay for the actual metal, leather and rubber at the point of purchase. Fuel, insurance, maintenance and repair costs, and the cost of fees from the state and financing will all weigh on your wallet while you own the car. That's not even taking into account the biggest cost: depreciation, or the amount of money you lose based on what your car is worth years from now versus the day you bought it.
KBB tracks these sorts of things, and they've compiled a list of winners for 2013 models. On the brand level, Mazda and Lexus earn the 5-Year Cost to Own award for having the lowest overall projected five-year totals (though, curiously, we note that Mazda and Lexus each had only one segment winner). There are lots of winners for all the various segments, so we'll just pick out a few surprising ones to share and you can view the rest here.

Wed, 05 Feb 2014We focus a lot on what new cars are like to drive, but it's difficult on a one-week loan to really get a sense of what a car is like to live with. Sure, we try to recreate that sense with our long-term vehicles, but even after a year, it's impossible to know fully learn about a car, particularly in terms of reliability and cost of repairs. For 2014 model year vehicles, Kelley Blue Book has put together a list of the most affordable vehicles over a five-year period.
At the tippy top of the list are Mazda and Lexus, with the Zoom-Zoom automaker winning the award for best non-luxury brand. Lexus, meanwhile, was the most affordable luxury marque over a five-year period. It's interesting to note, though, that not a single Mazda won its segment in this year's awards.
General Motors did quite well, taking eight segments, including both the subcompact and plug-in segments, with the gas-powered Chevrolet Spark and Spark EV. The Chevy Camaro SS and ZL1 took the high-performance car award. Toyota was well represented, with five winners split between the main brand (Corolla, Prius C and Tacoma) and Lexus (LS and RX).
Lexus RC F GT3 Racing Concept is green-flag ready
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Lexus is hardly the first brand that comes to mind when comes to motorsports. In fact, it's not even the first Japanese brand. But Toyota's premium marque is showing new signs of understanding that it will need to at least pay racing further lip service if it wants to be viewed as a more emotionally connected brand with the wherewithal to challenge the Germans on every level.
Lexus has already made it clear it wants to race its RC F coupe, and at least philosophically, the new model certainly strikes us as a more appropriate racecar conversion than the SC 430 that preceded it. This just-unveiled RC F GT3 Racing Concept looks properly menacing sitting on the carpet at the Geneva Motor Show, and it while it's officially labeled as a concept, it's a model Lexus promises will be made available to racing teams in 2015.
Designed run in Group GT3 events, this 2,756-pound coupe has a front-mounted V8 derived from the production RC F tuned to deliver over 540 horsepower. Lexus' plan is to commit to a season's worth of testing this year before building them to order, and we expect to see them in the Japan's Super GT and Super Taikyu Endurance series, along with endurance events like the 24 hours of Nürburgring.
