You are looking at a one of a kind Mustang GT, this is no ordinary GT by any means. This is a true “Sleeper” car. This has been a very long project car slowly in the making.  Over the past 6 years this car has had about $100,000 invested  to turn it into what it is today. The car runs on 93 octane pump gas and this is a plus to anyone who knows. No race fuel required to get this kind of power.  I will do my best to list most of the items and provide you with the most detail that I possibly can. This car was built to be a “Bragging Rights” car; it has only seen the track a hand full of times. The last time the car was at the track it ran 140MPH at 10.7 seconds.  The gentleman that owns it is 65 and retired and just wanted a toy ,but got hooked and went to the extreme with this car. This car is barely driven and the motor and all the upgrades have less than 30,000 miles on it and even less on the built motor. All work was professionally done by Craven Performance who is local in St. Peters and motor work was done by Modular Mustang Racing based in California.

Here is a breakdown of just some of the goodies.

Motor - Ford V8 bored and stroked to 5.0L all forged components, ARP head studs. Stage 2 Comp Cams, high lift comp Valve Springs, Stage 2 Port and Polish, Manley rods and Pistons, Forged Crank MLS head gaskets .  All engine work was done by MMR (Modular Mustang Racing)

This motor was built to handle 1000HP - $25,000

Supercharger - ProCharger D-1SC with F-1 internals, with custom 3" pipping 22 1/2 pounds of boost, C&L intake manifold.

http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml   - $7000

Intercooler – Procharger – air to air cooled intercooler - $2000

Transmission – TR6060 Ford GT Racing 6-speed manual transmission, Mcleod twin disc clutch, upgraded 2nd Gear Carbon Fiber Blocker Ring Set, Shelby GT500 shifter; one piece drive shaft- $7500

Nitrous – NANO (Nitrogen Assisted Nitrous Oxide) NX Dual nozzle wet system with 100 shot with Max 4 Nitrous Controller and Purge Valve - $4000

Alcohol – Painless Alcohol with dual nozzle Alky Control Meth System - $3000

Injectors – ID1000cc’s and MMR Billet Fuel Rails - $2000

Suspension – (BMR Drag Suspension) Tubular K-Member weight distribution custom kit and Extreme Anti-Roll Bar Kit, Shelby GT500 Double Adjustable Shock/coilovers. - $6000

Fuel System – completely custom Returnless Fuel System by Fuel Lab  http://fuelab.com/  - $3000

Headers – MMR Long Tube Headers - $1000

Exhaust – Full Magna Flow Exhaust - $2000

Paint – Matte Flat Black - $4000

Hood – 3” Cowl Induction Hood - $1500

Wheels & Tires – 18” 5 spoke black powder coated wheels / Rear: 345/35R18 with brand new Mickey Thompson Street Radials / Front: 275/40R18 with new Nitto NT555 - $2500

Gauges – 3 AEM – Air/Fuel & Boost & Oil - $2000

This is the major items that have been done to the car, I cannot list every small thing and gasket that has been replaced and/or upgraded, there is just too much to list. But this will give you an idea of how much has been put into this car. There is virtually nothing left that is stock on the engine, tranmission, suspension and so on. About the only thing that is left stock is the interior, nothing too major there except gauges and purge button.

There is an appraisal on the car and has a Fair Market Value of $55,000. Per the appraisal most everything has been rated a "2" which is right below "1/ Excellent" as almost a pure show car. It cannot be labeled a pure show car because it is driven and was meant to be driven.

I have more pictures of it if you would like to see more feel free to ask.

Lamborghini restores two 50-year-old classics to mark their anniversary

Tue, Jul 24 2018

Front-engined Lamborghinis are a thing again, thanks to the Urus SUV. For decades, the company built nothing but mid-engined vehicles, perhaps for a good reason. But 50 years ago, Lamborghini introduced two cruisers with front-mounted V12s, and to commemorate the anniversary, the company's historical Polo Storico division has now restored examples of both. Before the era of Diablos, Murcielagos and Gallardos, the Espada was the strongest seller in the Lamborghini stable. Between 1968 and 1978, Lamborghini built 1,226 Espadas, all of them with a 4-liter V12, and some of them with an automatic transmission — a Lamborghini first. Depending on the version, the Espada's power output ranged from 325 hp to 350, and it could exceed 150 mph while seating four. Taking its cues from earlier concept cars, the Espada's Gandini design can be remembered from the near-horizontal rear deck, and the 47-inch tall cars are very low for four-seaters. What about the Islero? For Lamborghini, it was a more conventional approach to a GT, as it was a further development of the earlier 400GT Β— itself a continuation of Lamborghini's first production car, the 350GT. A handy way to tell the cars apart is that the Islero has hidden headlights, unlike the two earlier models. Compared to the Espada, the Islero's production run was markedly shorter: It was built for only two model years, with a total of 225 cars. The engine was the same V12 as in the Espada, but while the Islero S also had 350 hp, it was notably faster, and able to reach 161 mph. Lamborghini's Espada/Islero celebrations include a special tour of the Umbria region in early September. There's a 400-mile tour of central Italy Sept. 7-11 for Lamborghini enthusiasts, arranged by Lamborghini Polo Storico. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Lamborghini braces us for the end of Gallardo production

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

A changing of the guard is afoot in the Lamborghini stables. The Italian supercar brand sticks with a particular model for a respectably long period of time, thus any model changeover is cause for attention. First came the gloriously badass Aventador succeeding the Murcielago, which signals that the Gallardo replacement is on the way next. Not one to let any occasion go without its due pomp and circumstance, Lambo released a video entitled "The Final Gallardo."
The clip features various footage from the life of the Gallardo, worked in with a manifesto of sorts regarding Lamborghini's purpose, and how that fits into the Italian way of life. Little is stated about the Gallardo itself, let alone the eventual replacement. Additionally, it is unclear if the video is to celebrate a special "Final Edition," or merely the last Gallardo to roll out of Sant'Agata Bolognese. Until we do see the Gallardo successor, feel free to watch Lamborghini reveling in the sound of its own awesomeness in the video below.

Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial

Wed, 28 May 2014

How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.
