TITLE UPDATE - EBAY is making me mark the vehicle as salvage even though it does not have anything but a clean indication on the title and they are basing this on auto check. I have a CLEAN Louisiana title in my hand and when the car was purchased it had a CLEAN Georgia title before that. The issue seems to be from 2006 when the car had 6000 miles on it in Florida where the car was briefly owned by an insurance company. I called the Florida DMV and they have the record of this but they do not know why this was done as all the usual images attached to the file were coincidentally not present. After talking with them the only issue this would pose would be in the state of Florida. This car will have a clean title in EVERY OTHER STATE in the USA. The car was even sold by another dealer after this when it was sold in Georgia. If you would like to see a copy of the clean title that I have you can call me at 504 452 8824 and I can send a picture over!
This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! I took down the buy it now and the reserve so the highest bidder wins! Check out the cheapest 4.2L XKR Convertible on the internet period! I am helping my friend sell his car as he is moving back to New York and will have no need for a vehicle especially a convertible with winter coming! I have had a chance to have the car in my possession for a couple of weeks now and have gone through it and this is a VERY solid car. My friend Bought the car in March of this year from the original owner in Alpharetta Georgia. The car was purchased with 146,000 miles on it and was serviced for its ENTIRE life at Nalley Automotive - Jaguar. I have over $13,000 worth of receipts dating back from when the car had 29k miles on it till when the car was purchased in march where it had another $700 dollar service done before it was sold. The previous owner used the car almost exclusively for highway driving as he commuted a long distance to and from work every day. Do not let the miles scare you the maintenance records alone show the care and money put into the long term maintenance of this car. Body The body is almost flawless which completely amazed me. I could not find a single ding on the entire car and the back bumper (thanks parking sensors!) looks brand new! The front bumper because of the highway driving does have rock chips on it as well as one small crack that looks to be easily repaired from behind. If someone painted the current bumper or put a new front bumper on it the exterior of the car would really be almost perfect! Interior The interior is black leather with wood gran trim surrounding the dash. It has the Alpine sound system with CD changer in the trunk. From what I can tell everything works on the inside including the power retractable top. It has the black leather Recaro seats in it. They have no tears or rips in them and besides being a big dry are in good shape. The back seats are in excellent condition. It does have the factory navigation. When it is turned on it says something a bout the navigation CD. I did not try and look into this but my friend said that when he did use the factory navigation it worked fine. Drive train After driving it the transmission seems perfect. No slipping or issues that I am aware of. I have not driven an XKR before this so I am not sure how they are supposed to feel but the transmission seems to shift fine. I made sure to NOT clean the engine bay for the new owner. This is exactly how the motor was given to me and I feel this is important to show how it is rather then trying to dress it up. All fluids look clean and filled. I recently checked all intake plumbing and vacuum hoses for leaks and besides tightening a few clamps found no issues as well. I also hooked up my OBD 2 scanner to the car to check for engine codes (engine light was off) and there were no stored codes either. Brakes and tires The tires are the original equipment Pirelli PZERO tires. Two of them were replaced in March and the other two were in excellent condition. these are very expensive tires and they look to be almost new! The brakes come with the large red calipers and slotted rotors. I know the owner let me know the brake rotors need to be cleaned often to make sure they stopped properly. The pads and fluid looks good but the brakes seem to not stop as fast as I thought they might. This could be perfectly normal as I am not used to driving a very fast heavy touring car. There is no noise from the brakes and seem to be in good condition. UPDATE: After looking at the receipts the car hdds new OEM PADS and Rotors replaced at 135,000 miles at a total of over $900.00. As i thought they look to be in great shape. Only known Issues I have found The Airbag light is on on the vehicle. It blinks two times when the car is turned on and after some research it seems this is an indication of a one of the airbag sensors either on the back of the seat or the bottom of it. The HAL sensor is known to go bad and this seems to be the issue. I had the capacity to reset the code but I decided against this so the new owner knows of this small issue. Because of the mechanic checking this out the back of the leather seats were un clipped to have access to this. New clips are needed to put the small trim sides back on but since these will probably be taken off again to fix the issue I decided to leave it as is. Besides this issue There are NO other lights on the dash, warning lights or any other issues that I can find. This well maintained car looks to be in very solid condition and you can get a 90k dollar super car for a fraction of the cost! Terms and Shipping. I have no problem shipping the car anywhere in the continental USA for the new owner. The new owner will pay for all shipping cost but I am familiar with doing this and will assist where I can. A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of auction. The remaining payment will need to be sent to me either through bank transfer or overnight cashier check. The title will then be mailed with a copy of the owners front an back of his driver license. I have 100% Ebay feedback and will make sure this transaction is VERY easy and quick to ensure everyone is happy! If you are local and want to check the car out please message me to set up an appointment I have no problem showing the vehicle! |

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
Lotus Esprit S1 gets wet and wild in 'Forza Horizon 4' James Bond trailer
Tue, Sep 18 2018It only makes sense. When the official trailer for Forza Horizon 4 ( FH4) first debuted at E3, details showed the game is set in Britain. Those who were ahead of the curve might have recognized this as a foreshadowing of sorts. Celebrating the launch of FH4's XBOX One and Windows 10 demo on Sept. 12, Playground Games announced that the next version of the beloved racing simulator will launch with an available Best of Bond pack that includes many of James Bond's storied rides. As expected, the list is heavy on the Aston Martin, but there are plenty of other goodies, too. Included in the 10-car pack are the 1964 Aston Martin DB5, a 1969 Aston Martin DBS, a 1986 Aston Martin V8, a 2008 Aston Martin DBS, a 2015 Aston Martin DB10, a 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback, a 1977 Lotus Esprit S1, a 1981 Citroen 2CV6, a 1999 BMW Z8, and a 2010 Jaguar C-X75. If you can name every movie that all of these vehicles are from, pat yourself on the back and grab a martini. View 15 Photos Microsoft is rewarding those who are all-in on FH4. The Best of Bond pack will come with the Ultimate Edition of the game that is allowed an early play date, starting Sept. 28. For those who haven't fully committed, the Best of Bond pack will be available as an add-on for purchase when the game launches globally on Oct. 2. The action-packed trailer shows many of the vehicles transforming or busting out tricks they're known for from the films, including the Lotus emerging from the sea. Although players will not be able to drive any vehicles under water (that we know of), several of the gadgets will make it into the game and will be viewable during Forzavista mode. The '64 DB5 has many of its features, such as the bumper rams and revolving license plate, while the Lotus will have an available body kit, fins and all. The Bond pack also comes with a few features irrelevant to the cars, including two Bond outfits and six "quick chat" phrases that can be used during multiplayer. The pack adds to an already impressive catalogue of vehicles that includes more than 450 different rides. Available now to pre-order, the FH4 Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99, the Deluxe Edition is $79.99, while the base game is $59.99. For those who love Bond but don't own a gaming system, don't forget about the recently announced DB5 Lego kit.
Hey wait, not everyone hates the diesel engine in our 2017 Jaguar XE
Fri, Aug 18 2017My friend Joel doesn't seem to care for the turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel engine in our long-term 2017 Jaguar XE 20d. That's fine. He's entitled to his opinion. But he does not speak for the entire Autoblog staff. I, for one, am a big fan of this oil burner. I said so months ago after I returned from a 2,000-mile road trip. The intervening months have done nothing to sway my opinion. It's smooth, efficient, and all the engine you need in a non-performance application. It may not have the raw power or full range torque of the XE's gasoline engines, but it's a fine fit in this car. Not everyone who buys a sports sedan like the XE or BMW 3 Series does so because they want a sharp canyon carver. Some just want a handsome car that will get them from point A to B in relative comfort. The Jaguar XE diesel does just that, and it does so while achieving some pretty astounding fuel economy numbers. We met the 30 mpg city rating and eclipsed the 40 mpg highway rating with ease. It's not like the XE diesel is slow. Sure, a 0-60 mph time of 7.5 seconds isn't blistering, but it's far from what anyone should consider slow or lethargic. That time is right on par with the BMW 328d. Sure, it runs out of breath at peak revs, but so does every other diesel. If you care about wringing it out, buy a gas version. By Joel's own admission, the engine's 180 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque are available when needed for highway passing or city driving. That's all most people really need. So what if it falls on its face at high revs. I will concede that this isn't the most refined diesel on the market. At idle, it shimmies like an unbalanced washing machine. Jaguar has tuned a lot of that out, but it isn't nearly as calm as the competition (though it's miles better than diesels of old). It revs quickly for a diesel, but the exhaust note is one to forget. The engine sounds like a muffled foghorn mixed with a jar of nails. Not good. Once you get moving, it settles down. Highway cruising is a breeze. You forget you have a compression ignition engine under the hood. Even around town, turn the radio on and you'll be fine. Joel is right about the ride and handling totally outclassing the diesel engine. The car is comfortable on highways and city streets but sharpens up on a curvy backroad. The steering and suspension communicate to the driver what the car is doing at all times. The brakes inspire confidence with a firm pedal and sharp bite.
