This is one of my occasional drivers. Used it for going back and forth to Charlotte and Atlanta for business. One of many cars, that I don't drive much anymore. And these Jaguars need to be driven. They are not good at sitting, so it needs someone to drive it everyday.  Tires have less than 5k on them. Not interested in trades unless you have running & driving 35-48 plymouth or chrysler sedan or Dodge town wagon of any year. Can be ugly, but want it running.
I have taken good care of this vehicle and resolved all the little quirks that Jaguar owners know and love.
Including:
Timing chains and tensioners were changed to upgraded design at 79k
Rear trunk wiring harness which has issues of failure/weak areas has been repaired.
Driver door release handle cable has been replaced with newer/improved design
Serpentine belt tensioner has been replaced with newer/improved design
Vehicle is loaded with options, and gets solid gas mileage for a large comfortable car (I get 22mpg going to Charlotte at 70-75). Interior is fair, as my kids rode in this car for about a year. Two issues outstanding. Cup holder and rear-view mirror could be replaced. (known Jaguar failures in design)

Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."
Junkyard Gem: 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Convertible
Sun, Aug 12 2018The Jaguar XJ-S sold for big money, cost big money to keep running, and depreciated hard once its edges got a bit rough. You'll still find examples of the XJ-S in the big American self-service yards nowadays, but this '90 is the first convertible I have found in many years. 4,715 1990 XJ-Ss were sold in the United States; I haven't been able to find a reliable figure for the number of convertibles, but it must have been small. That makes today's Junkyard Gem a real rarity— not as hard to find as a Ford Tempo All-Wheel-Drive, of course, but still a prize. Jaguar kept the 5.3-liter V12 in production from 1971 through 1992, and when it was running properly — which wasn't as often as XJ-S owners wished— it couldn't be beaten for smoothness. By 1990, Jaguar had switched from fuel injection by The Prince of Darkness to a system made by Magneti Marelli. This one is quite rough, and it shows signs of having been parked outdoors with the top down for a few years. Since you can buy nice examples for well under ten grand, restoring this one would have been a money-losing proposition. This content is hosted by a third party. In it, Bunny Lebowski reveals that none of her toes have been cut off by kidnappers; some suspension of disbelief is required here, because Americans couldn't buy the '90 XJ-S with a manual transmission. Maybe it's a gray-market six-cylinder car. The price tag on a new 1990 XJ-S convertible was a stunning $57,000, which comes to about $113,000 in inflation-adjusted 2018 dollars. Still, BMW shoppers had to pay $70,000 for a new 750iL that year, and that V12-powered machine didn't even have a convertible top. This content is hosted by a third party.
