Extremely Rare One-Family Vehicle

Up for sale today is a fantastic hard-to-find driver that rarely hits the open market these days; a 1982 Jaguar XJ6 four door sedan with its original English White paint and a tan leather interior.  This beautiful sedan features its original 4.2 L inline six cylinder engine under the hood with a 3-speed automatic transmission and this automobile drives and handles fabulously out on the California roads.  This vehicle has been driven 157,945 original miles.

Completely Original from Bumper to Bumper

In terms of overall condition, this 1982 Jaguar XJ6 does show some slight signs of wear cosmetically but it is absolutely beautiful for its age.  The leather seating has a nice patina all-around this vehicle does not appear have any known mechanical issues as it’s an incredible driver with no squeaks or rattles.  Also, it has been garaged from the day it was purchased and it was serviced regularly by the same mechanic in San Mateo for the past 30 years.

Fantastic Overall Condition

Overall, this rare 1982 Jaguar XJ6 is an incredible survivor that really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated.  At this price, we would question if there is any classic available in the United States with this level of refinement and sophistication that could compare…it really is that nice.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Redwood City, California showroom, give us a call, or email us atSales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention stock # 30654 as well.

Are you the soon-to-be-revealed Jaguar CUV concept?

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Following the teaser of the Jaguar CX-17 Concept released last weekend, the first official image of the Jaguar crossover concept appears to have hit the Internet ahead of its introduction at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Assuming this is the real deal, the tall, upright front end removes any doubt that this is anything but a preview for the upcoming Jaguar crossover, which will likely be called either the XQ or the Q-Series. Reports suggest that Jag's first-ever CUV is likely to go into production in 2016, and it will bring with it the option for a Jaguar-developed four-cylinder engine replacing the current mills still sourced from former parent Ford.

2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Editor's Note: Our reporter was anxious to get some time behind the wheel of the XF Sportbrake, even though Jaguar only had a very small window available for us to drive it. As a result, we weren't able to capture our usual original images to go with the Quick Spin story. Please accept our regrets, and Jag's lovely stock photography, instead.
The last wagon attempt from Jaguar was the X-Type, built between 2003 and that model line's unceremonious end in 2009. That X-Type and its legacy represent a real dog of a chapter for Jaguar, and for the Halewood factory where the barker was built. It was the final joke told prior to the brand's proper rebirth phase - a phase we're enjoying the heck out of today.
Current magnanimous Jaguar owner Tata can be thanked for this new wagon, the XF Sportbrake. Like all newness coming from Jag these days, this new wagon also feels lightyears more serious an offering, ready to compete squarely with established premium wagon makers across Europe. A Jaguar wagon in America is a far-off priority for the company, frankly. Still we deserve to know what we're missing for the time being from this (sometimes overly) cherished British firm.

Chris Harris finds the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe rather drifty

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Our own Matt Davis may have called the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe "one heady rascal," but our review was disappointingly short on drifting, tire smoke and general, English shenanigans. You know, the sort of things that Chris Harris from Drive excels at.
Actually, relative to Harris' other reviews, this one is rather serious. There's a good recap of the F-Type on the road, with Harris referencing the car's "great bottom" and "amazing ass," quite frequently. Surprisingly, Harris says the more powerful F-Type R is just "incrementally" faster than the 495-horsepower F-Type V8 S Convertible. Following the on-road portion, it's off to the track. You can probably predict what goes on there. Overall, aside from some quibbles, Harris has nothing but praise for the newest cat.
