This is an excellent example of a well maintained, cared for, and loved Jaguar XJS convertible. This is the 6 cylinder; 4.0L version and it has all of the power and get up and go you could want without any of the troubles its 12 cylinder sister is famous for.
Mechanically, this vehicle is in excellent condition. The engine runs smoothly, quietly, and strong is extremely strong. There are no fluid leaks and all of the fluids have been replaced within the last year. The current owner practices preventative maintenance and has always replaced the synthetic oil on schedule. The air conditioner blows cold when needed and the heater works just as well in the winter. The only known issue to disclose it that the convertible top's relay module has been sending an intermittent signal recently. There is nothing wrong with the motor for the top; it would not hurt to replace the relay module that sends the signal from the switch in the passenger cabin to the motor, though. The paint color of this vehicle is the much sought after Sapphire Metallic Blue with matching factory installed top. There are some slight imperfections in the paint as you'd expect from a car of this age (light chipping around the hood and some bumper scratches, but nothing major). The interior is cream colored leather. The driver's seat shows some wear, again as you'd expect from a car built in 1995. The vehicle comes with the original cream leather tonneau cover for when you decide to put the top down. The interior dash is also covered with walnut veneer, which is in excellent shape. An aftermarket JVC CD player has been installed for your listening pleasure. This is a Las Vegas vehicle which has been garage kept since the current owner purchased it in 2007. This car has never been smoked in and has never been in an accident beyond parking lot run ins with curbs which has left minor dings in the bumper and front spoiler. This is not a showroom quality car, but it is an excellent daily driver with absolutely NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. The buyer of this car is getting a wonderful vehicle at an excellent price. It is a beautiful car that goes fast while turning heads at the same time. Please feel free to contact the seller with any questions or to set an appointment to view and test drive it in person. Purchaser is responsible for picking up or shipping the vehicle. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of close of auction. |

Jaguar F-Type coupe to cost more than convertible?
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Jaguar may price the much-rumored F-Type Coupe above the F-Type Convertible, if a report from Australia's Drive is to be believed. What makes Jag think that such a pricing strategy would work? Porsche. Take a look at the German manufacturer's consumer site, and you'll notice that the Boxster is less expensive than the Cayman, despite being essentially the same car.
It's a fair point, and a price premium does a good job of emphasizing the sporting chops of the coupe over the open-air experience that normally entitles convertibles to higher MSRPs. It's unclear just how closely Jaguar will follow Porsche's example, though.
Both the Cayman and Cayman S boast an extra ten horsepower over a Boxster or Boxster S, and while this bump in grunt is negligible in every situation but an argument over which is "best," it isn't something to be ignored in the F-Type, particularly as cranking more power out of its supercharged engines should be a rather simple matter.
New Jaguar crossover to be called 'XQ'?
Wed, 08 May 2013As part of its upcoming portfolio expansion, Jaguar will be adding two key models to its lineup in the next few years. The first is a small, 3 Series-fighting sedan tentatively called XS, and the other is said to be a new crossover, which may be dubbed XQ, as Edmunds reports. Jaguar filed a trademark application for the name "XQ" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office earlier this year, according to the report.
Jaguar executives have long said that the company is investigating new, higher-volume segments for the brand to compete in, and this certainly isn't the first time we've heard rumors of a CUV with a pouncing cat badge. Edmunds opines that since the Land Rover brand will no doubt continue to tackle the more traditional SUV segments, the Jaguar brand could easily house an offering in the luxury crossover market.
As for how a Jaguar CUV could come to fruition, Edmunds offers two suggestions. The first would be to build a vehicle on the smaller platform that will underpin the XS, as it will accommodate both rear- and all-wheel-drive applications and will be used for a number of differently sized vehicles. The second, more logical suggestion, is that the Jag CUV will ride on a version of the all-aluminum D7u platform used in the Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
2016 Jaguar XF mule spied in Germany
Wed, 30 Oct 2013From our best guess, the Jaguar test mule shown in these spy shots could very well be our first glimpse at the next-generation Jaguar XF, due out around the 2016 model year. The current XF has been around for five years already (launched in 2008), and this mule is likely testing powertrain or chassis components for a new version of the midsize Jaguar sedan.
With what seems to be a stretched wheelbase and wider track, this is almost certainly not a mule for the 3 Series-fighting Jaguar XS. That being said, though, there is also the outside chance that this could be a mule for other future Jaguar Land Rover products including a production version of the Jaguar C-X17 crossover or the Jaguar-based Range Rover Grand Evoque. Only time will tell what these images truly foretell, but if nothing else, it proves that Jaguar is definitely staying busy these days.
