This is a very nice 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. It runs and drives 100%, is very fuel efficient, has a current PA inspection and is being sold with no reserve. The 1.3L electric/gas four cylinder engine purrs along without a miss or fluid loss. No "check engine" or "IMA" lights. The hybrid system runs perfectly. It charges and assists as required and the auto stop engages when stopped. It was meticulously maintained. We have all the service records since new (see pic). The CVT automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation or the typical start up shutter. The brakes, steering and suspension are working perfectly. No exhaust leaks. It has a current Pennsylvania state inspection for safety and emission (see pic). The exterior is a gold/beige. Although not perfect, there are no major dings or dents. The most serious ding is on the right front door (see pic). The windshield is chip and crack free. The lights and lenses are bright with no cracks. The Michlein tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 25% tread. The interior looks like new. There are no stains or wear areas on the carpet or the cloth seats. ALL the power options such as windows, cruise control, side mirrors, etc. work as designed. There is an after market Pioneer sound system with CD, MP3, USB and ipod with a remote (see pic). The heat is hot and the AC is cold. The interior is clean and comfortable. This is a very nice, PA inspected, 2003 Civic Hybrid. It is very fuel efficient and has the similar fuel characteristics as the high priced newer models. There are absolutely no mechanical issues with this car and no indication of any impending problems. The new owner will be able to drive this vehicle home, with confidence, no matter where they live. Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.

UK auto magazine says this is the best car commercial of all time [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Dec 2012There have been many great car commercials over the years, but is it possible to define the best? Well, Ad Week recently took a crack at it by rating the top commercials of the year by looking at their view counts on YouTube, but Auto Express took a more democratic approach by putting the decision to a vote. Just after Thanksgiving, Auto Express came up with a list of the 20 popular commercials, and it tasked its readers with choosing the winner for the best car ad of all time. The winner? Honda's 2003 commercial for its then-new European Accord titled "The Cog."
While the ad never aired in the US, most car people have surely seen the impressive Rube Goldberg-style spot. In fact, the only commercial on this list that we saw on US television was the Volkswagen ad "The Force," but many of the others have become viral videos, including transforming and dancing Citroën C4. Of the 19 other commercials that vied for the title of best ad of all time, only the Ford Puma "Steve McQueen" commercial gave Honda a run for its advertising money.
Scroll down to watch Auto Express' top five commercial in order and to check out a press release, then let us know some of your favorite car commercials in Comments.
