2005 GMC Sierra SLE 2wd crew cab custom dually

Excellent condition custom dually. Fully optioned out vehicle with all available features. This truck was custom built in AZ by Superduty Headquarters. This is a fully bagged air ride suspension truck. It lays the frame on the ground and tucks about 5" of tire and rim in the fenders when all the way down. The original owner spent over $50k on this custom build not including the cost of the truck. So well over $100,00 for the whole thing. Crazy!!!

The truck rides unbelievably straight and smooth. The rear suspension was fully custom built to allow for proper clearances and integrity to the truck. This stuck was featured at SEMA in Las Vegas a few years about for its outstanding custom chassis and suspension upgrades and modifications.

All of the parts that were used in this build were the best money could buy. Here are some of the parts. I am sure I'll miss something.

  • Alcoa 24" classic wheels (all 6 are fully polished forged aluminum wheels)
  • New Toyo tires
  • Oasis on board compressor
  • Brand new full custom leather interior (has red contrast stitching)
  • in dash DVD player
  • custom built gauge cluster for air gauges
  • FASS diesel fuel system
  • Diablo diesel programmer
  • MBRP exhaust
  • high performance air intake with K&N filter
  • Clifford alarm/ remote start combo
  • Billet handheld controller for air ride
  • has 2 (5 gallon) on board air tanks
  • New headlights with true HID lighting
  • New front turn signal marker lens
  • all lights interior and exterior has been upgraded with LED lighting

I have almost all of the receipts from the original owner from the custom build.

Satisfaction with dealer service rises, Lexus and GMC are tops

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

During the economic downturn, many car dealerships counteracted their slowing income by focusing on things that would set them apart from competition - things like the quality of customer service they provide. When the economy picked up and more sales and service followed, many also first invested those funds back into the business, improving their dealership facilities and service centers.
It looks like those investments are paying off, as J.D. Power and Associates' latest Customer Service Index Study shows that overall consumer satisfaction with dealer service has increased to 797 (on a 1,000-point scale), up from 787 in 2012 and 29 points higher than the score in 2011. The study also finds that people are more satisfied with the service they get at dealerships compared to independent service providers, despite the much higher average out-of-pocket cost per visit ($118 vs. $44).
Note, however, that this study only looks at how people are treated by a dealer's service department during the first three years of ownership (the survey is based on responses from 91,000 owners and lessees of 2008 to 2012 model year vehicles), so we're talking about the experience had when bringing a car in for repair or maintenance work, most likely under warranty. In fact, maintenance work is increasing in share and accounted for 77 percent of service visits (up from 72 percent in 2012 and 63 percent in 2011). This helps explain why customer satisfaction has also risen, since a properly maintained car is one that's less likely to require a dealer visit for an unexpected repair.

2020 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled due to faulty brake component

Wed, Mar 11 2020

General Motors is recalling 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups to fix a defect in the trucks' brake system. Certain Silverado and Sierra pickups were produced with brake-caliper bolts that were not heat-treated. Without heat-treating, the bolts are weaker than they should be, and there is a risk that they could fail, which would affect the trucks' braking performance, possibly leading to a crash. In total, 20,352 vehicles are affected. Owners of affected trucks will be contacted by GM. Dealers will inspect the bolts and replace those that are defective. Related Video:

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
