2007 Gmc Sierra Sle 2500 Hd 4x4 Crew Cab 6.0 Liter V8 New Body Style on 2040-cars
Barneveld, New York, United States
UP FOR SALE IS MY 2007 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD SLE. I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO SELL THIS TRUCK, BUT A BUSINESS VENTURE I AM GETTING INTO NECESSITATES ME GOING BACK TO A DIESEL TRUCK IN ORDER TO PULL THE HEAVIER TRAILERS. *PLEASE NOTE* NONE OF THE PLOW AND SANDER COMPONENTS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE OF THIS TRUCK, UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE ME A SEPERATE OFFER. THEY WILL ALL NEED TO BE REMOVED TO TRANSFER TO MY NEW TRUCK. THE ONLY PART I MAY INCLUDE IS THE PLOW FRAME, AS I WILL NEED TO OBTAIN A DIFFERENT PLOW FRAME FOR A DIFFERENT YEAR TRUCK. I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THE CRAPPY PHOTOS MY CHEAP ASS CAMERA TAKES!!! FIRST, THE GOOD : I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 3 YEARS, AND IT HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN. THE GM 6.0 LITER IS AN AWESOME, DEPENDABLE ENGINE. I PLOW MY 800 FOOT DRIVEWAY WITH THIS TRUCK AND IT DOES A FINE JOB. I'VE PUT AROUND 30K MILES ON THIS TRUCK AND THE ONLY THINGS I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE WERE A HANGING UP CALIPER AND A FAN SENSOR FOR THE HEATER. OIL CHANGES EVERY 3 - 4K MILES RELIGIOUSLY AND TRANSFER CASE FLUID CHANGED LAST FALL. PRO COMP LEVELING KIT INSTALLED IN 2011, 3 INCH FRONT, 2 INCH REAR. THE TIRES DO RUB ON THE MUD FLAPS, BUT ONLY IN A VERY HARD RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS AFFECT THE TIRES IN ANY WAY. OTHER THAN AN ANNOYING NOISE. TIRES ARE FIRESTONE DESTINATION M/T 305/70/16. I DON'T RECALL THE MAKE OF THE WHEELS, BUT THEY WERE PURCHASED FROM TIRE RACK ALONG WITH THE TIRES IN JUNE OF 2012. THEY ONLY HAVE APPROXIMATELY 8K MILES ON THEM, AS I HAVE DIFFERENT TIRES FOR WINTER, AND RIDE THE BIKE FOR MOST OF THE SUMMER. THE BED WAS RHINO LINED LAST SUMMER. IT HAS THE HOLES FOR A 5TH WHEEL, BUT WAS REMOVED BEFORE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. JUST PUT ANOTHER COAT OF COLLINITE ON ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO! AND THE BAD : SOME MINOR BODY FLAWS WITH THE WORST BEING AN APPROXIMATELY 2.5 X 3 INCH RUST SPOT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER. OTHER RUST SPOTS ARE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TAILGATE, AND THE ROCKER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WHERE YOU GET IN AND OUT. ALSO, A SMALL DENT IN THE REAR BUMPER THAT WAS THERE WHEN I PURCHASED THE TRUCK, AND A SMALL DING IN THE REAR PILLAR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE PASSENGER SIDE STEP BAR HAS LOST ITS RUBBER FEET. I WOULD PERSONALLY REPLACE THE STEP BARS BEFORE WINTER. OTHER THAN THAT, THE BODY HAS THE USUAL PAINT CHIPS AND SCRATCHES YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A 7 YEAR OLD TRUCK. OTHER THAN NEEDING A GOOD SHAMPOO, THE INTERIOR'S ONLY FLAW IS A SMALL TEAR IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT ABOUT 2 INCHES LONG. THERE WILL ALSO BE A CUT IN THE CARPET IN FRONT OF THE CENTER CONSOLE WHERE THE PLOW CONTROL TOWER IS MOUNTED. IT SHOULD LAY FLAT AFTER THE CONTROLS ARE REMOVED, BUT STILL WORTH MENTIONING. AS STATED, THE ENGINE RUNS STRONG, BUT IT DOES HAVE A MANIFOLD LEAK. MY WRENCH SAID IT DOESN'T AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE, BUT YOU DO HEAR IT. ALSO, THERE IS SOME WEEPING, PROBABLY FROM THE REAR MAIN, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE ME HAVE TO ADD OIL BETWEEN CHANGES. IT JUST STARTED THE CLUNKING OF NEEDING NEW U-JOINTS WHEN YOU PUT IT IN GEAR. IF I WERE TO KEEP IT, I WOULD CHANGE THEM BEFORE I STARTED PLOWING THIS WINTER. NOW FOR THE SALE STUFF : THIS IS A USED TRUCK AND IS BEING SOLD "AS IS". NO WARRANTY IS EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. *PLEASE NOTE* THE "BUY IT NOW" WILL INCLUDE THE 4 GENERAL GRABBER AT2 STUDDED SNOWS AND THE OEM CHROME CLAD STEEL WHEELS, AND ALSO THE V-GROOVE TIRE CHAINS. TIRES WERE PLOWED WITH FOR 1 1/2 WINTERS, CHAINS WERE PURCHASED IN 2010. THIS IS FOR THE BUY IT NOW PRICE ONLY!! ANY OFFER BELOW THE BUY IT NOW PRICE WILL NOT INCLUDE THESE ADDITIONAL ITEMS!! I AM UNABLE TO DELIVER BEYOND THE UTICA AREA, SO IT WILL BE UP TO THE PURCHASER TO PICK UP OR HAVE THE TRUCK SHIPPED. THERE IS A BANK LIEN ON THE TITLE THAT WILL NEED TO BE SATISFIED. WE CAN EITHER GO TO THE BANK AND PAY IT OFF, OR I CAN OVERNIGHT IT TO YOU WITH THE LIEN RELEASE. DEPOSIT IS THROUGH PAY PAL, BALANCE TO BE PAID VIA BANK CHECK, OR GOOD OLD FASHIONED CASH!! ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME. |

Editors’ Picks October 2022 | Electric trucks and some excellent SUVs
Wed, Nov 2 2022This month sees a bevy of totally new or totally redesigned cars gain Editors’ Pick status. Important EVs like the F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV quickly jump into the list, and they do so with authority, as all our editors love these trucks. The Range Rover is always a superb experience, and this generation proves to be no different. Plus, the new generation of Kia Sportage continues to surprise and impress. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in October that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 GMC Hummer EV The Four-Wheel-Steer system lets the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup m View 17 Photos Quick take: The Hummer amazes as an electric supertruck with its wild acceleration, incredible off-road capability, luxuriousness and epic utility. It's far from a "green" eco-friendly vehicle, but that's not the point of this technological powerhouse. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Raptor R, Ram 1500 TRX Pros: Stupid quick, tons of tech, off-road capability in spades Cons: Not efficient, annoying in tight spaces, price From the editors: Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "I don't think I've driven a more ridiculous vehicle this year, but that's sort of the point with the Hummer. There's a great argument against this sort of EV in that it doesn't live up to being an efficient and planet-friendly vehicle, but hey, that's not the point. The Hummer EV is a supertruck and wild technological masterpiece for off-roading in the same way that a mid-engine supercar is to track performance. It's not meant to be the EV everybody drives to work and back (mostly because few can afford it), but it serves as a line in the sand of what can be done with electric off-road trucks. This pickup rules, and if you can afford one, you're going to love it." Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder — "This Hummer revival is a showcase of technology and capability on the part of GM, making it an absolute blast to drive and a joy to use.
Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step
Thu, Feb 2 2017General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet.
