2008 GMC Denali Truck Offered for sell is a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali Crew Cab 1500
Pickup Truck. Summit White exterior w/ Cocoa Brown/Cashmere Tan interior trim
and Tan leather fully loaded as is all Denali’s. Purchasing a new truck so pick this two owner
non-smoker truck up reasonably priced. It currently
has about 63,250 miles on it - purchased in Dec. 2009 w/ 28,032 mi. New Tires put on in
May. I put only about 7,500 miles on it a year.
Overall the truck is in excellent condition except for slight crease (
driver-side quarter panel and behind the bumper ) I put in it backing into a short pole in a parking lot. The bumper was replaced. Denali’s feature a 6.2L 403hp all aluminum
V8 w/417ft. lbs of torque, All Wheel Drive (when needed) and have a exceptionally
smooth ride for a 4WD. This is a short
bed so you don’t have the parking hassle of a long bed crew cab. I have listed all the equipment that came
standard on the truck below in the “Features and Options” section. Modifications from factory include retractable running boards, powered bed cover, and a brake controller. WeatherTech "CatchAll" front floor mats are included. I also replaced the Denali wheels with Chevrolet Aluminum 5 spoke wheels and re-installed the tire pressure sensors. The GMC factory wheels have a known defect called “spidering” which happens when the clear coat breaks down prematurely and allows oxidation to form under the coating. The result is the random formation of white lines usually near the spokes which cannot be cleaned since they are under the clear coat. Impressions
2008
GMC Sierra Denali is a very comfortable and easy truck to drive. On long trips,
the supple suspension and quiet cabin come into play to make the truck a
pleasing companion. Acceleration is impressive w/ the 6.2-liter V8 getting the
truck to 60 mph in under 8 seconds.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines
Thu, 13 Dec 2012General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.
2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition First Drive Review: The business-class Bison
Mon, Oct 23 2023McALLISTER, Mont. – Not far from MontanaÂ’s Ramshorn Peak is a beautiful body of water known as South Meadow Creek Lake. It sits just a hair below 9,000 feet and offers beautiful views of the surrounding highlands and — if youÂ’re lucky and the lighting is just right — a clear line of sight to Big Sky Country. To hear the locals tell it, you canÂ’t get there in a pickup truck. Apparently, to a GMC engineer, that comes across as an open challenge. And so I found myself in the two-horse town of McAlllister (not far from Bozeman), chilly in the fog of an early October morning, inspecting a line of GMCÂ’s midsize trucks in their hardest of hardcore variations. One half of the fleet was made up of the standard 2023 Canyon AT4X finished in a beautiful scarlet red; the other half, 2024 Canyon AT4 AEV Editions in a menacing gray that matched the dreary morning sky. Yep, that AEV. The Canyon AT4X is an already-capable little trail monster with all the off-road bells and whistles you could possibly ask for. ItÂ’s a virtual mechanical twin to the new Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, in fact, down to the 2.7-liter four-cylinder that produces 310 horsepower and a whopping 430 lb-ft of torque. Naturally, American Expedition Vehicles managed to turn that dial up to 11. More on that later. Canyon AT4X 3 View 32 Photos To the locals' point above, off-road trucks have existed for quite some time (just ask Marty McFly), but it has only been since their rise in popularity as mainstream commuters that the dedicated four-wheelinÂ’ pickup has really come into its own. The “you canÂ’t get there from here” Maine attitude at Bozeman latitudes betrays somewhat old-school notions about four-wheeling — and the fact that just about everybody in town owns some sort of ATV or side-by-side. The formula used to be pretty simple: You take the shortest SUV frame youÂ’ve got, add big stick axles to the front and rear, and then jack the thing up as high as you can without it falling over at the first sign of an incline. TodayÂ’s torque-monster engines have turned that on its ear. More torque means you can turn bigger tires, and what do bigger tires do? Well, among other things, they lift your truck off the ground. Shove enough tire under a truck and no matter where youÂ’re talking about, you can indeed get there from here. At its core, AT4X isnÂ’t groundbreaking.
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
