Up for auction is my 1963 Ford Convertible with the optional roadster tonneau cover (included). I bought this 5 years ago and restored it to its present very good condition. It was redone to its original Corinthian white exterior and original red vinyl interior, ( 76A-M-55-19M-53). The tires on the car are 90% tread and 2 new tires are included. The car is registered, insured and is driven weekly. It has a new, professionally installed vinyl top. All glass is very good. New aluminum door and dash panels. Car does not have A/C but there is an A/C vent in dash. All gauges, except clock are working. New vinyl upholstery. Rear spats are included but need to be painted. The retractable top is working beautifully (some relays and hydraulic cylinders replaced). Front and rear bumpers are original and in good condition. The rear chrome light surrounds have been rechromed. All the electrics work. Windows and seats are manual. Downside...the transmission needs to be adjusted, as it sometimes snaps out of park into reverse. This is why I always park it in neutral and apply foot brake. Also,( as shown in photo) there is a small dent in left rear fender measuring 4 inches in diameter. As a plus, I was told, when I bought it, that the engine rings and bearings were done a few years previously. Car has great power and is a real "eye catcher" with its red and white color combo. Ford recalls EcoBoost-powered F-150 and SUVs for brake fluid leak

Ford is recalling approximately 280,000 trucks and SUVs equipped with its 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine to address a potential brake fluid leak. The recall covers the 2016-2017 Ford F-150, 2016-2017 Ford Expedition and the 2016-2017 Lincoln Navigator. According to Ford's defect report, the issue stems from contamination in the brake fluid causing degradation or damage to the seals in the brake master cylinder, allowing fluid to escape. Ford says that braking performance is not immediately impacted by the leak, and owners may not realize there's a problem until a brake malfunction indicator appears in the cluster, accompanied by a chime. "If the brake fluid in the reservoir is depleted to a predetermined level, the driver will receive an audible chime, message center alert, and red brake warning indicator in the instrument cluster," Ford said in its defect report to NHTSA. "If the driver continues to operate the vehicle, the drive may begin to experience a change in brake pedal travel and feel, and increased pedal effort." "If a loss of brake fluid is substantial enough to reduce brake function to the front wheels, full braking function would remain in the rear wheel circuit. However, reduced brake function in the front wheels can extend stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash," Ford said. The issue can be addressed with a replacement brake master cylinder, which Ford will install free of charge. I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
