Up for bidding is a 62 Thunderbird with its original 390 V8 and automatic transmission. The car has 57,000 original miles and was in dry storage for 30 years until about 5 years ago when I pulled it out and replaced the following items: New gas tank, brakes (wheel cylinders and upgraded to a new dual master cylinder), water pump, plugs cap points, steering bushing, changed all the fluids. This car runs and drives good but will need to have the carburetor cleaned and rebuilt. The mileage is original and the speedometer still works as well as many other items. This car has power windows and they all work, also power drivers seat and it works but needs lubrication. I have almost all of the chrome pieces for the car inside and out but the pot metal emblem parts are pitted and need redone. I have all the stainless and they are in good shape as well as the interior chrome too. I also have all the original stainless hubcaps too. Car needs exhaust replaced. The body is pretty solid, doors and fenders are all steel but the rear quarters have lots of body work on them but with a little body work, block and sanding she will be ready for paint easily. The underside and frame is solid. The drivers seat is torn near the hinge (see picture), but other than that the seats are soft and in good shape for being original but need cleaning. Rear bumper needs redone but the front should clean up with steel wool.
Thanks for looking !

Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute
Fri, Jan 9 2015Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.
Just in time for the holidays, Snowkhana 3 is here
Tue, Dec 9 2014The gift list for the 12 Days of Christmas is frightfully heavy on birds, so surely no one will mind if we sub out the three French hens for Snowkhana 3. Ford of Europe is back with another stop-motion video that – like versions one and two – throws a 1:64-scale Ford Fiesta in Ken Block livery around a fabulous world of action figures and make believe. This year's video "drives rings around some of the biggest YouTube hits," so those of you who've lost years of your lives to the greatest distraction since the human navel can put your knowledge to use. For anyone else just catching up, we'll help you get rolling: the opening Snowkhana scene channels Stalking Cat. You'll find the rest of your holiday homework in the video.
What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.
