Falcon Ranchero Deluxe
A very nice 65 Ranchero that needs very little to be cherry. A little over 107K original miles (average 2,140) miles per year since new. Starts, idles and runs GREAT!! An original California car with little to no rust. Now located in Austin, TX. Floor boards solid. It appears to be undercarriage sprayed at the factory when new. I am the 3rd owner since new, you would be the 4th. Here is the list of conditions and what has been done to it in the past year: Engine - Full
tune up, plugs, air filter & oil change. Engine is tight, doesn’t leak or blow smoke,
and runs like a scared striped-arsed monkey when floored. This is a VERY nice stock 289V8 with lots of
power. First year 289V8 from the
factory and same as the 65 Ford Mustang. Transmission (Cruise-o-matic 3 speed on the tree) shifts as it should and drops down nicely into lower gear when floored. Has factory
AC (just needs to be charged). Has a small leak somewhere bud runs cold when charged. Should be an easy fix for an AC guy. Serviced rear differential New u-joints New battery New engine & transmission mounts Professionally rebuild stock 2bbr Autolite carb by Gotta Fish Carbs >> One of the best in the business. Brakes gone thru and repaired to perfect working condition. All new
interior (seat, carpet, headliner, door seals & wind lace) from only top of
the line Falcon internet websites with original type color and material. New old stock Sanyo high powered AM/FM cassette stereo installed and the original working AM radio comes with the car. New radiator with 50-50 Prestone antifreeze New AC
radiator Heater core rebuilt and blows hot air (when on). You want one that has already been rebuilt, trust me on this one! New fuel pump. Chrome bumpers front and back are nice as well as the front grill. Vintage radio shack CB installed with PA speaker in the engine compartment to scare old ladies, dogs, kids, hippies, Irishmen, etc.. New whitewall tires Original spinner hubcaps (worth $100 each by themselves)! Original door panels still in decent shape Original dash (cracked) but still nice and useable as is. Glass is good. All electrics work fine. Brake lights, back up lights, headlights, inside door lights, dash lights, horn. Cigarette lighter doesn’t work but may just need a new filament, I don’t smoke so don’t really care. Should be a simple fix. This ol truck only needs a few things to make it REAL nice. Needs some
minor body work done. There are little dings, dents, holes and scratches around the truck in various places (its 50 years old). Needs a
paint job or drive as is as I have been doing. Original
exterior color was the same as the inside of the cab but was repainted yellow by the 2nd owner back in the day. Everyone loves the
yellow so Id personally keep it that color. Its been touched up in various areas to match the
yellow paint and is presentable but certainly not perfect by any means. Still gets numerous
thumbs up every time I drive it. Overall, a very nice original condition (as most you can do) 50 year old Falcon Ranchero which are very collectable and gaining collectable status and increased value. The 1965 is arguably the best year and certainly the best of this model that ran from 1960 to 1965 with 1964 & 1965 being specific body years with the cool body lines running front to rear. To find one virtually rust free and major accident free is rare. My price is very fair and all work was done as quality as I could do it. A LOT of time and money have been put into this ol gal. Only reason I'm selling is lack of room and I have other projects to work on now. The misc. trinkets and personal items shown in the pictures are mine and do not convey with the vehicle. I do however have another Bobs Big Boy Bobblehead that I can include (if you want Bob that is). Car cover comes with it as well as Owners Manual and other misc. paperwork Ive collected for it. Bought from the estate of the 2nd owner out of Arizona. According to the family, the 2nd owner owned a service station in California and babied the engine and worked on this truck himself. I'm assuming that's why its mechanically in such good shape. Buyer is responsible for pick up (at their cost) and can be picked up anytime after July 20th. Bid with confidence with my 100’s of positive feedbacks. All information provided is to the best of my knowledge and deemed reliable, but not guaranteed. Sold in as-is condition (due to age) but I wouldn’t have any concern driving this car/truck anywhere. Always starts, always reliable (has been for me). Drive as is or finish it up, all the hard work is done. Clear Texas Title in my name. You should be very happy with this one if you win the auction, good luck and happy bidding!

Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.
