Keep in mind this truck is 72 years old, it is in great shape and restoration is not complete. This is a survivor before Ford shut down production to turn over their factory for the war effort. The only produced these for a few months. Vehicle is sold as is. The engine runs strong and I believe it is the original Flathead V8, it was changed over to 12 volt. The following has been done mechanically: I have replaced the complete fuel system, new gas tank, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel pump, spark plugs & wires and carburetor. The wiring has all been replaced except the front end light harnesses's. Re-cored radiator, upper & lower radiator hoses replaced, radiator pipes replaced with stainless steel, new thermostats, new batteries(2 6 volt batteries included) new starter and and original starter. New motor mounts. All hoses and belts have been replaced. New water pump. Instrument cluster was completely rebuilt & re calibrated like new. New head light switch and harness, starter button. Original heater, no leaks Floor panels patched(see pictures) Needs wiper motor, New hinge pins & bolts. 4 almost new white wide wall tires with little wear, other than me test driving. I have over $5200. in receipts for parts and items that have been repaired or replaced. I have NOS muffler, stainless grill "jail bars", chrome plated hood latch assembly, chrome left mirror, new running boards, new tail gate, headliner and interior kit with panels. Dimmer switch. These repairs seems to have been done by the previous owner: Brake lines and brakes, exterior work , wood floor for bed with stainless strips(see picture) rear bed corners by tailgate. Some rear spring leaf's have been removed to lower. I have these also. It appears to have the original blue paint and then the dark green as seen in the picture. The body does need some work but I feel it wouldn't take much to get it ready. I have additional pictures that I can send. If interested please email me. I . |

Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. You can read the full press release below for more information.
