If you are looking for the ultimate car that you can drive to and from the track without issues, this is it. Also if you are looking for a fun cruiser that doesn’t require any significant maintenance, this is also it. I have multiple pulley combinations that will allow you to run 10.5 psi up to 20 psi of boost! I have been to the track once when it made 720 rwhp at 10.5 psi and it went 9.86 at 138 mph. I have since been twice at 16 psi where it ran 9.62 at 144 mph on a very conservative tune up. It's completely capable of running 9.20s-9.30s at this boost level. The car drives nice and straight down the track and requires no effort. It makes it’s power on E85 pump gas and can be converted back to 91 octane, though you will need to run only 10.5 psi and much lower timing. This Mustang is unique because it has a 4L80E with a lockup converter. What that means is the car runs at 2,400 rpm at 83 mph on the freeway. No worries like traditional three speeds that you have to drive in the left lane because it's taching out at 65 mph! The parachute comes out with 1 bolt in the trunk and then the hinged license plate frame covers up the hole! If you're in So Cal and want to come check out the car, hit me up! The Bad: Nothing actually. Please understand this is a really nice driver and isn’t a Barrett Jackson $100,000 restoration. It has a $4,000 Dupont Chroma Premiere paint job and not a $15,000 Chip Foose paint job. There are some MINOR imperfections but nothing you’d really see unless you were looking for flaws. The car physically functions perfectly. I have driven the car in bumper to bumper, 1.5 hour traffic in the heat and the engine never runs above 190 degrees. Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
Hop below for the full press release from Ford on its latest investment.

Detroit Three autoworkers could get huge bonuses

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

For a long time, being a line worker for one of the Detroit Three has meant living with an uncertain future. With the health of American automakers on the rise, though, things are also starting to look up for the men and women building the cars. The latest sign that things aren't bad? Big profit-sharing checks.
According to The Detroit News, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler could end up paying over $800 million to 130,000 workers as part of a profit-sharing plan. According to The News, the economic impact of these profits in Michigan alone could exceed $400 million, besting the NFL's Super Bowl, MLB's All-Star Game and the NHL's Winter Classic for their economic impact.
This is the third straight year the Detroit Three have issued profit-sharing checks to UAW employees, and for many workers, the checks are as close as they'll get to a raise, due to the most recent contract between the union and the manufacturers. On average, employees at GM and Ford receive $1 for every $1 million in North American (not just the US) pre-tax profits. Chrysler, meanwhile, gets a similar deal, although the Auburn Hills-based company calculates profit sharing using 85 percent of the brand's global profits.

2015 Ford Edge First Drive [w/videos]

Thu, Mar 12 2015

We're routinely told that it's not easy being the middle child. The oldest sibling will always outshine the rest, while the youngest is routinely doted upon. The middle child, meanwhile, is seemingly never able to measure up. You know the drill: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! But that hasn't really been the case for Ford's mid-kid crossover, the Edge. Sandwiched between its highly successful big brother, the Explorer, and the stylish younger brother, the Escape, the Edge has had plenty of its own bragging rights over the years. It's where the Blue Oval chose to first launch MyFord Touch in 2011, and was one of the company's first applications of an EcoBoost engine in a CUV. For 2015, Ford has given the Edge a brand-new outfit, complete with stand-out sheetmetal and a revamped 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine fitted with a twin-scroll turbocharger and direct-injection. The result is a vehicle that truly stands out from its compact and fullsize siblings while promising to retain Ford's edge in the midsize CUV market. Where many of Ford's cars have opted for a slim, Aston Martin-like grille, the new Edge's face is big and bold. It's around back, however, where the Edge really comes up with its own personality. The slimmer D-pillar forms the edges of a more aggressively raked rear window. It's difficult to spot in pictures, but the result is a decidedly more assertive profile than the outgoing CUV. Beyond that, the rear is home to Fusion-inspired taillights, although unlike Ford's popular midsize sedan, they're joined together by a vehicle-spanning lighting element that prominently features a Ford badge at its center. Ford's work on the Edge's interior is less progressive, though. The owner of a 2014 model wouldn't feel the least bit out of place climbing behind the wheel of a 2015, as it features Ford's same reconfigurable instrument cluster, and a center stack that's been crowned by the latest (and final) edition of MyFord Touch. Meanwhile, more JD Power Initial Quality Study-friendly buttons have replaced the obstinate and unintuitive touch-capacitive controls. The conservative take on the interior design belies the big improvements in material quality. The leather inserts in the doors are more heavily padded and the plastics are far softer. It's a similar story throughout the cabin, where owners will notice softer dash plastics and generally richer materials.
