1927 Ford Hot Rod ready for the road. This car gets a lot of attention where ever you go, sounds really cool with the Zoomie headers and at 1600 pounds with a Chevy 305 moves well to. Everything works. Steers straight, engine runs smooth, automatic transmission shifts firm, lights & turn signals work, tires have deep tread, paint is shiny, chrome is bright, and aluminum is polished. There is a slight leak from the rear end. The starter does not engage every turn. The car was not built with any opening doors, roof, heat or air conditioning. The stereo works but you can't hear it over the headers when the car is running. The car is built from high quality parts in the 80's. California T fiberglass body. Boyd Coddington custom chopped grill. Ford 8" rear end with four link and Aldan adjustable coil over shocks. Disc brakes at all four corners. Chevy 305 engine with chrome valve covers and polish intake. Boyd Coddington IFS front suspension with Alden adjustable coil over shocks. Sanderson Zoomie exhaust headers sounds excellent. Budnick polished Mercury Wheel 17" front, 18" rear. BF Goodrich G-force tires 205/40ZR17 front, 295/35ZR18 rear. VDO gauges with custom dash. Ghost flames on hood. Custom boxed frame painted to match the body. No doors, no roof, no heat and no A/C.

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes
Tue, 23 Apr 2013We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).
2016 Ford Explorer embarks at the LA Auto Show
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Twenty-five years since its debut in 1990, Ford will celebrate a quarter century of Explorer models next year with the debut of a refreshed 2016 model at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19. The Blue Oval is keeping mum on hard details about the updated SUV for now, but the brand promises, "a new look, added capability and additional driver-assist technology," in its announcement.
Company marketing boss Jim Farley elaborated a little more on what to expect. "The new Explorer is still the SUV America fell in love with - a vehicle built for the perfect family adventure," he said in the release that you're welcome to read down below.
An updated Explorer is a pretty big deal for Ford's bottom line. Worldwide, SUVs and crossovers account for about 23 percent of Ford's sales, and the segment is projected to grow to around 29 percent by 2020. Ford further says that SUVs and CUVs are the world's quickest growing segment with demand up 88 percent since 2008.
Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
