Up for auction is this sharp little '31 Ford Model A Pick Up. Nice steel body with glass fenders. This auction includes all 4 steel fenders in very nice shape. I like the glass in the way they won't rust or dent, however, if you prefer the steel, just have the steel ones that are included painted. These fenders are easy to put on. The engine runs good with a surprisingly amount of pep. It has been pretty snappy driving around town. It drives at 45-50 mph on the open road. Once in awhile it seems to shift hard between first & second, and shifts good from 2nd to 3rd. The brakes work good, including the e-brake. The engine has been rebuilt in the past & starts good. No smoking at any time. The truck has 4 new tires on it with about 200 miles on them. The rims are nice. It has a nice and clean engine compartment. It has a newer interior with a nice seat. The glass is all good and the windows all work. It has newer running boards, however, could be repainted. The body is in decent shape with a few paint chips here & there, however, nothing major. Sometimes the truck will wobble at low speeds, so I've included new kingpins and a new pitman arm. They also make a steering stabilizer for Model A's. The steering hasn't stopped me from driving this truck all over. It only wobbles ocassionally at low speeds - never at higher speed & I wanted to bring it to your attention. The truck comes with many extra parts(see pics) relating to model A's. Please email to inquire if more detail of the parts is needed. The box of the truck is very nice with some paint flaking on the edges of the bed.(see pics). The headlights work, gauges work along with taillight. There is a horn, however, it needs to be wired. The underside of the truck is painted and loooks nice. It has nice oak sideracks. It has a nice new stoneguard on the front. I wouldn't classify this truck as a show winner, however, a very nice 'daily driver'. It is very sharp pick up that is snappy, fun to drive AND it turns alot of heads! Please email early to exchange phone numbers to further discuss this nice pick up. Do not wait until the auction is over to ask your questions or discuss this truck. I will get back to you. A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction to PayPal. The balance in full is due with 7 days of the end of the auction either cash in person or wired to our bank account. The balance WILL NOT be accepted into PayPal. The buyer is responsible to pay any additional wire fees on both the sender and receivers end. The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for pick up or transportation of this truck. This truck is currently stored under cover and can remain there for up to 30 days to allow for transportation or pick up of the truck.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Ford announces first non-pursuit-rated police car ever
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Ford announced its first non-pursuit-rated Police Interceptor ever, based on the Taurus, which employs the smaller 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine in place of similar pursuit-rated Police Interceptors powered by naturally aspirated 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter V6s and the top-spec 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Officially called the Special Service Police sedan, the car was commissioned at the request of law-enforcement agencies that desire a more fuel-efficient vehicle for detectives, administrators and campus police, who don't necessarily need pursuit-rated vehicles.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine produces 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, but more importantly, it allows the SSP sedan to achieve somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg highway, which are the civilian 2.0-liter Taurus' official EPA ratings. Ford estimates that the SSP sedan will get 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined, with the help of Active Grille Shutters that open to allow more cooling air through to the radiator, or close to optimize aerodynamics and fuel economy. Those numbers compare favorably to the discontinued Crown Victoria-based Interceptor's 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway and the newer Taurus-based cars equipped with V6s, the most fuel efficient of which gets 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
If it was driven 90,000 miles over the course of three years, a 2.0-liter SSP sedan would save law enforcement agencies $5,042.92 versus the Crown Vic, Ford estimates. The EPA is expected to post official fuel-economy numbers for the SSP sedan in December. Until then, read the press release below for more information.
Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
