1929 Model A Ford, Fordor Sedan, model 60 A (Leatherback). Engine rebuild has no miles on it. Needs accessory parts mounted such as generator, starter, carburetor, hoses, wiring etc. to run. Accessory parts can be seen in photos. Trans rebuilt, all new brakes and chassis completed with body off. The body is excellent with no rust or dents. All primed with older finish paint (green) on much of the body and doors. Body ready for final paintwork. Fenders and aprons with older black paint, very nice condition with one minor dent on left front fender from trailer loading miss hap. All new wood throughout. Ready for new fabric top. No miles on the 21" tires mounted on original rims. Has all original upholstery and panels with original fabric (old but good for patterns). All of the glass is included.. Car, originally from Ohio where owner was restoring until he passed. Car has been stored indoors in California for several years with nothing further done towards the restoration. I have restored many Model A's and have never seen one this nice to finish off. The car is available for local pickup. Any shipping of the car will require all arrangements to be made by buyer. Ford reports $3B profit in Q4, $6.9B for the year

Good news out of Dearborn today, as Ford announced $3 billion in profit for the last quarter of 2013, a 90-percent increase over the same period of 2012. Net income for all of last year, meanwhile, jumped to $7.2 billion from $5.7 billion in 2012, while pre-tax profits sat at a decade-topping $6.9 billion for all of 2013.
The results of the substantial profit increases are bigger profit-sharing checks for UAW employees. How big? A record $8,800 on average for 47,000 UAW workers, making 2013 the biggest year for profit sharing in Ford history. In total, $414 million will be paid as part of the profit-sharing scheme.
Now, it should be pointed out that a fair portion of Ford's Q4 profits were due to tax benefits, totaling $2.1 billion, according to Automotive News. Total profits would have also been higher, had there not been a significant recall on the Escape, as well as plant issues in South America.

Toyota, Ford and Honda again top Consumer Reports Car-Brand Perception Survey

Consumer Reports has released its annual Car-Brand Perception Survey, and the list looks awfully familiar. The top six brands are identical to last year's results, with Toyota, Ford and Honda continuing to occupy the podium. All told, Toyota walked away with 133 points, putting it 15 ahead of second-place Ford. Honda jumped 26 points this year, narrowing Ford's lead to just four points in total.
Consumer Reports polls buyers from across the country on how they see multiple brands in seven categories, including quality, safety, value, performance, design/style, technology/innovation and environmentally friendly/green. Researchers then combine the findings to come up with the total brand score.
While value and performance remain important to buyers, CR found quality and safety are still on top when it comes to significance. Scion and Mitsubishi found themselves at the bottom of the pack with the worst score of all, tied at just six points. Ram, Fiat and Mini filled out the lowest five with scores of seven, eight and 10 points, respectively.
