Barn fresh project 1929 Ford Model A sedan. This car starts right up and runs good. Transmission shifts great, clutch is strong and brakes are working. I was told the engine was rebuilt in 1999 and the car was parked in a barn. Car came from the hills of eastern Ky.. Has clear Indiana title in hand. Car has always been indoors out of the weather so VERY SOLID!  NO ROT! Even the door bottoms are rock solid! Solid in all of the right places. You can stick a magnet anywhere on this car. Only a few minor pin holes, a few dents and dings too. Wood inside structurally solid as well. Car appears to have been blue at one time. Current black paint just scratches off. Probably latex paint from way back when. Windshield is cracked and so is the drivers side rear glass. Interior was redone years ago and the seats are done in heavy vinyl. Decent shape for a driver. Car needs wired up for driving, lights, generator/ammeter so on. I put a brand new battery in it and I have been driving this car around my property and up-down the road a few times. All 40hp. LOTS of fun but bring a trailer. For any additional questions, call me: (812)631-9244. I do have a brand new grille shell, new hub caps and a new radiator cap with water meter I will include as well as some extra parts like a spare carb and some bits and pieces in a box. It is what is so if you are looking, this may be the one. If you are local feel free to come and inspect the car in person. Thanks.

Please note this is an 84 year old project car. Sold "As is" obviously. Buyer responsible for shipping.

2016 Ford Explorer embarks at the LA Auto Show

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

Twenty-five years since its debut in 1990, Ford will celebrate a quarter century of Explorer models next year with the debut of a refreshed 2016 model at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19. The Blue Oval is keeping mum on hard details about the updated SUV for now, but the brand promises, "a new look, added capability and additional driver-assist technology," in its announcement.
Company marketing boss Jim Farley elaborated a little more on what to expect. "The new Explorer is still the SUV America fell in love with - a vehicle built for the perfect family adventure," he said in the release that you're welcome to read down below.
An updated Explorer is a pretty big deal for Ford's bottom line. Worldwide, SUVs and crossovers account for about 23 percent of Ford's sales, and the segment is projected to grow to around 29 percent by 2020. Ford further says that SUVs and CUVs are the world's quickest growing segment with demand up 88 percent since 2008.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue

Tue, 28 May 2013

We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
