I am selling a 2005 Ford F250 XLT Supercab Automatic 4x4 powerstroke diesel 6.0 that is white in color with a standard 6' bed and has 158,883 miles on it. This truck has been gone through by the local Ford dealership and I have spent over $5k dollars fixing any and all issues with the truck so it runs great and has brand new Firestone TransForce 265/70/17 tires that have zero miles on them. It has all power options and cloth interior and there is a small tear in the drivers bottom seat shown in pics. The radio works perfectly but the display lens is missing. There is a slight crack along the top of the windshield but its a hairline crack. There a couple small ding dents along drivers side truck bed and a few scratches along bottom of rear passenger door. The bed of the truck is rhino lined. There is also a fully functional Tommy Gate lift gate that is electric operated and great for loading anything heavy or oversized. It has trailer hitch installed as well. The a/c needs a new pump as it squeals when turned on but I will replace this as well if bid goes over my reserve. I have all receipts of everything that was replaced. Here is what was replaced all brand new parts: fuel pump, high pressure oil pump, FICM, icp sensor, oil cooler, egr cooler, egr valve and new batteries. All of these new parts were installed in 2013 as I was planning on selling it and wanted it to be mechanically sound and a solid truck before I sold it. Truck is accurately described and pics are as truck sits right now and how you will receive it. I will accept cash or cashiers check or wire transfer for payment. This is a used truck and no warranties or returns are given. I can help with having truck shipped anywhere in the USA. Shipping is at buyers expense.

Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute

Fri, Jan 9 2015

Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.

Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks

Sun, 31 Mar 2013

Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.

Ford Green Zone works magic with GPS to make your drive smarter, cleaner

Fri, Aug 29 2014

For the most part, plug-in hybrids rely on the power stored in the battery until that charge is depleted. Unless the switch can be changed manually, it's only then that the cars fire up the internal combustion engine and begin using the fossil fuels on board. This is ideal, of course, when one's drive isn't long enough that the car needs to start sipping gasoline at all. On longer commutes, when it's certain that the route is longer than the car's all-electric range, this isn't necessarily the most efficient use of energy. Ford's Green Zone system is designed to save some of that juice for the parts of the drive that require slower speeds. Ford is working on a smart system, based on Nokia mapping technology, that uses GPS data to use both the electricity and conventional fuel more efficiently. Since battery power is less efficient at highway speeds, Ford's Green Zone system is designed to save some of that juice for the parts of the drive that require slower speeds, rather than just using up all the electrons right at the beginning of the drive. Using a website or the in-car navigation system, the driver can pinpoint the parts of the route, highlighted in green, where using battery power would be more effective, and set the car to automatically switch to electricity for those sections. Depending on the route, the car could automatically switch back and forth between the two power sources multiple times, particularly if the drive is a mix between city and highway driving. Of course, Green Zone will be go beyond that. The program is being developed to take traffic and road grade into account, details that allow the car to be make even smarter choices to improve efficiency. Ford even hopes to have Green Zone learn driver habits, and respond accordingly depending on who is driving the car. The system could control other features as well, such as anticipating corners and shifting the headlights to better illuminate the road ahead. Green Zone could also potentially use information from vehicle-to-vehicle networking to control functions in the car. The Green Zone system still has a few years before it will be ready to be put into production vehicles, but Ford is confident it will make its way onto the road eventually. As with other innovations that improve efficiency and make our vehicles smarter, we can expect to see similar technology from other manufacturers, until it becomes a regular part of driving in the future.
