You will not see another used F150 in the condition this one is in, at least not in the Northeast.  All original, unbelievable condition throughout and near flawless.  Factory original paint, beautiful tutone Lt. Opal over Oxford white.  You can use the bumpers as a mirror. The interior is impeccable.  The undercarriage is rust free as is the body.  Only 62,250 miles on a near 20 year old truck that has only been driven a little over 3,000 miles per year.  Always garage kept, never driven in winter and only driven in the rain by accident.  All mechanicals in perfect working condition, no issues whatsoever.  The pictures don't even do it justice.  This truck attracts a crowd wherever it goes.  You cannot take it anywhere without people approaching you to talk about it.  Really a one of a kind survivor. This truck will only increase in value over the years if kept like it is currently.  I don't think you can buy a classier, better looking, better condition truck for the money than this.  I'm only selling it as in a moment of weakness my wife got me to agree to sell it if I bought a new car....which I did.

Ford Mustang was almost 'Imported from Detroit'

Wed, Oct 7 2015

The Ford Mustang achieved iconic status nearly the moment the sheet came off at the 1964 World's Fair. And if Henry Ford II wasn't getting divorced around that time, the pony car might have been called the Torino and been marketed as 'Imported from Detroit,' according to Automotive News. We'll explain. During research for the new book Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story, author David Maraniss found an interesting connection between Chrysler's (now FCA US) slogan and the Ford Mustang. Before the pony car even had a name, the Blue Oval's advertising agency had the idea to market it as a "brand new import ... from Detroit," according to Automotive News. The vehicle would be sold as "inspired by Italy's great road cars, but straight from Detroit." The name Torino was suggested, as well. However, the real world interfered in making the Mustang Detroit's first import. According to the author, Henry Ford II was getting a divorce, and his future wife was Italian. It was therefore thought to be a bad idea to sell the future pony car as being from Italy. Things clearly changed by the time the Torino hit the streets years later. Related Video:

Ford offering emergency strobes on Super Duty trucks [w/video]

Tue, Apr 28 2015

If you're driving a Ford Super Duty, chances are you've got a job to do. It could be construction or maintenance, or it could be something big you're hauling, but either way, you may need to warn others in the vicinity that you're on the job. Which is why Ford is now offering strobe warning lights on its F-Series Super Duty trucks. The $700 option includes a pair of amber LED strobe lights on the hood (by the base of the windshield), another pair at the back on either side of the high-mounted stop light, and a trim panel with four switches on the center stack inside. The equipment can be factory-installed or dealer-installed after sale, are covered by warranty, require no drilling for installation (to reduce risk of corrosion), are programmable in different patterns and can be seen from up to a mile away at night or a thousand feet during the day. Jay Leno sees how the other half lives with CHP cop cars new and old

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Comedian Jay Leno is changing gears from driving fast cars to checking out some of the police cruisers that regularly chase down and dish out punishment to those fast cars. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. A 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey and 2000 Crown Victoria are all in the shop. Better still, Jay lays out an argument for ones of the classic cruisers as the best cop car of all time. Get your guesses in now, and then scroll down to watch and learn.
