This is a second chance auction bmoor71 (72*) won my auction ending August 17th. ,but renege on the transaction so I am having to relist. For those of you who were bidding in good faith I appreciate your interest. This truck came with windshield washers, padded dash, heater, radio delete and exterior side molding. Almost a custom cab, but not. The pictures will tell most of this story, however, I would like to point out some of the good things that would make this a deserving project. The body of the truck is very straight, as is the molding; which is very unusual. The interior of the doors are good. the interior cab floors need little work. the dash has not been molested. The tailgate is in good condition. The bed wheel wells and bed sides are in good shape. The truck comes with an extra radiator support with grill, hood latch and head light buckets. The truck has a clear Arkansas title. Most of the glass is good. The bad: the windshield is cracked. The floor of the bed is completely gone. The rear bumper is no good. There is a dent in the cowl vent by the right wiper. The passenger door latch is broken. The seat is salvageable, maybe. There is no brake hardware in the drums ( had to do this to get it to roll when retrieving it). The 240 six cyl. motor is locked up. i no nothing about the condition of the transmission. It has a 3:70 ratio nine inch rear gear non-posi. I hope the pictures and my write-up will give you what you need for bidding or not. If you need more I will try to comply. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will be available to help load. I will accept cashiers check, money order or personal check. I will have money in pocket before truck leaves Texarkana. |

This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.
