Selling my 1960 F-100 4x4, Has 351 cleveland, less than 2000 miles on rebuild. has 435 trans, 205 transfer case, dana 44 front end, 538 gears, everything has been rebuilt from disc brake to disc brake, Has 8 lug outters. Rear end is a sterling 1 Ton, has 538 gears, Tires are 46 inches with 20 inch moto rims. Front end 78 f 150 Coil spring, Has Cage long arms, has one piece glass, Big Back Window, Dakota Digital Dash, Power windows, Power steering, Power brakes, Tilt Steering, Has a 8000 pound winch, Bench seat has been recovered and firmed up covered in gray velour,. Has pioneer deck but has not been hooked up. The truck will come with under dash a/c unit which is not installed. has a/c compressor on motor, also have dana 60 high pinion driver side drop out of 79 ford one ton for the truck not installed. Front drive line is not installed. never got around to having it cut down. will send with purchase of the truck. Truck runs great. Has decent paint job, body work is no where perfect. Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.

Hyundai, BMW and Ford win Concept Vehicle of the Year awards
Sat, 06 Jul 2013More than two dozen jurors started with a pool of 23 concept cars introduced at the most recent Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York auto shows, then pared it down to three winners in three categories for the twelfth annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards. The trophy-bearers are said to be those "vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry," and lead their classes in the Concept Car, Concept Truck and Production Preview divisions.
Hyundai had two cars as finalists for the Concept Car category, the competition boiled down to the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept, Veloster C3 Roll Top, Honda EV-STER and the Toyota Corolla Furia. It won with the HCD-14 Genesis that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, a sharp sedan that sharply divided opinion between those who thought it was too much, those who thought it was too much Audi A7, and those who thought it was perfect. The award panel's judges, however, thought so much of it that it's got two awards in one sitting, not only taking concept car honors, but because it earned the highest overall score in the competition it also takes the crown for Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013.
The final selection in the Concept Truck category was down to the Ford Atlas, Kia Cross GT, Nissan Resonance and Volkswagen Cross Blue. The Ford Atlas took the silverware, after also winning the Eyes on Design award - shared with the Nissan Resonance - at the Detroit Auto Show where it was introduced.
