I have for sale a 1958 ford f100. Truck is a 2 owner truck is a rust free drive anywhere truck. I purchased the truck from the 2nd owner which he owned for 30 years. Interior redone years back and is in very nice condition. Paint is ok with some cracking and was repainted in 1980 but has always been garaged kept so it still looks fine (not slick) but fine as it was a daily driver back and forth to town. truck has the original 223 cubic inch inline 6. Motor was rebuilt couple years ago and runs great! This truck is a survivor and has no rust issues! The original tailgate was replaced many years ago because he liked the old style gates better so he replaced it. Truck is a joy to drive turns heads everywhere we go.
On Jan-07-14 at 19:09:36 PST, seller added the following information: Due to all the responses about the truck i have added as many pics as i could. I do not have a lift so im not able to get good undercarriage pics other than the few i posted. I will try and decribe it a little better in detail. First off when i purchased this truck i had all intentions in tearing it down and doing a full restoration including lowering it strip it paint it V8 and all but after getting it home and the response i got from just driving it for a bit I decided it was to nice and was fine the way it was with just a few nice upgrades. Truck has brand new tires put on a month ago I took the wheels off and painted them Red to match the pin stripe and put new chrome Ford center caps and trim rings from dennis carpenter restorations. And I believe it really sets the truck off very nice. Truck drives great. All the orignal gauges are in tac and all in working order everything including the heater and even the interior light works! The bed is very solid inside and out with no rust that i can see and was painted not to long ago white spray paint. The cab is also solid with no outside cab corner rust or floor pans issues. Firewall, hood, fenders have no rust. Paint is older and has chips and cracks in a few places that the previous owner touched up. I crawled under it a bit ago in my shop to take pics and looked it over there does appear to be very very minimum amount of rust on an interior piece of metal that attaches to the cab corners but the cab corners themselves are solid and that piece of metal has no structural signifigance that i can tell! Once again i havent taken it apart or do i have a lift so no way to look at every sq in of truck. I want to represent the truck as good as I can because my 100 percent feedback means more than selling the truck! I havent owned it long and I trust the previous owner which was older gentleman told me the truck has had no issues for the past 30yrs. He bought the truck from his best friend which bought it new! The truck has a fair reserve price and not priced like perfect truck! You will not be disappointed with this truck! Truck is for sell locally and I will end it if it sells before auction ends. Thank you |

Ford to cease Australian automaking operations after 90 years
Thu, 23 May 2013Ford began manufacturing cars in Australia in 1925 with the Model T. In 2016, Ford will stop manufacturing cars Down Under, including the Falcon and the Territory SUV. Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano has reportedly confirmed the closure of the company's Broadmeadows assembly plant and the Geelong engine plant, both in the state of Victoria. There will be 650 jobs lost at Broadmeadows, 510 sacrificed at Geelong. Of the roughly 3,000 workers the Blue Oval has in Australia, it's said it will try to retain about 1,000 of them at its R&D and product development facilities.
The writing hasn't just been on the wall, it's been a regular item in all the papers and on Ford's bottom line for years. As recently as 2003, Ford sold nearly 75,000 Falcons, but over the next four years, annual sales dropped by something like 10,000 units, and over the last two years, it has sold less than 20,000 per year. It isn't only Ford that has suffered - sales of the other large, locally produced sedan, the Holden Commodore, have also gone over the precipice, triggering the same kind of angst about Holden's continued existence. Ford is the smallest of Australia's local automakers, Holden and Toyota the others, and has posted losses of $AUD141 million last year ($136M US) and $AUD600 million ($580M US) in the past five years. Graziano said the cost of manufacturing is simply too expensive in the country, twice as high as Europe and three times as high as Asia, and there no way to make a business case for staying in the country.
In January 2012, Ford Australia announced it would stay in the country until at least 2016, but by July of the same year, most outside observers were quietly declaring that 2016 would be the last year of Ford Down Under, and even the speculation was making other observers nervous. Ford received money from the Victorian government last year to aid its refresh of the Falcon and Territory, which will continue on schedule for the 2014 model year. A front- and all-wheel-drive sedan on a global platform is predicted to replace the Falcon, with some other SUV expected to replace the Territory. The company says it still intends to expand its lineup in the country.

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
