What you see here is an early built (70's or 80's) F100 Hot Rod Truck, it has a Mustang 289 w/c4 tranny installed but should you want to go back to the original Y-block nothing was cut out or destroyed. It is a very straight forward build no hacking was performed when it was built, a new interior and bed wood has been installed. The passenger back fender has a ding in it but it was there when I got it and never got around to replacing it. There are some areas that will at some point need some attention like around the running boards on the back fenders but the best thing would be just to replace with new ones and not worry about working them, these fenders are the same from 1953-1984. Both bumpers are chrome, front tires are new, exhaust is new, wood bed is new, brakes are all new, carb is new, seat is new and the carpet. Like said you could drive the wheels off of it and enjoy it or Modify it to make a very cool and fast Hot Rod out of it and if you wanted to go back to bone stock with a 3spd tranny and Y-block just pull the 289 and c4 out and drop in the old bits. |

Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches
Tue, 11 Feb 2014The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? Hertz goes Dutch with Ford Focus ST-H
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Want to take a performance car for a ride? Hertz can make that happen. Spin by your local rental location (depending, of course, on availability) and you can take out a Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, even a Corvette as part of the Adrenaline Collection. Hertz's Dream Cars lineup even includes Porsches and AMGs. But the really interesting stuff is what you can't get anywhere else: cars built specifically for Hertz.
Back in 1966, Hertz had Ford cook up a special run of Mustang GT350H models in back with gold stripes. It became an icon in and of itself, and in 2008 Hertz had a new batch of Shelby GT-Hs made. Earlier this year, Hertz contracted Penske to deliver another fleet of specially-built Mustangs you can rent. But if your travel plans include a trip to the Netherlands, Hertz has a completely different type of specially-prepared Ford on offer for you.
Back in August, Ford delivered a couple of Focus STs made specifically for Hertz in Holland. Now it's expanded that fleet even further. The Ford Focus ST-H features the same 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four (and everything else) as the standard Focus ST, but gets that signature black exterior with gold stripes and a black leather interior with Recaro buckets. So in case a trip to Amsterdam doesn't hold enough thrills, now you can throw a hot hatch into the mix as well. Scope out the press release (in Dutch - isn't that weird?) below.
